  • Hey man cooler looks good. I just built mine with the same cooler. Where did you get your wheels from and did you just buy a longer rod to clear the wheel wells? Thanks.

  • @Pres7012 I took the stock axle off, added a pvc sleve under the cooler to raise up the axle and got bigger wheels

  • how do you keep it right side up in the water?

  • @codymoutlander

I strapped it down in the tube and the tube stayed very stable, the weight of the battery in the bottom also lowered the center of gravity enough to not really worry about it

lol, deal. I do not have this cooler anymore, the one I have now is the wagon version with 8 Polk Momo 6x9s, all is fully waterproof and I put it in a 2 person tube to float the river. We float the horseshoe to Rio on Memorial Weekend.

  • @wbred83

you are joking right? I pass by those type of coolers on the river and they turn them off because they can't hear them anymore. It is also not good to have to leave the cooler open while floating, that is why you use the proper equipment so you don't have to do that.

  • How do you charge it and what kind of cooler is it? I've been looking at some igloos but I havent seen any like that

  • @stvf0garty

I charge it with a regular car charger, the battery is inside and can be accessed when the lid is open. As far as the cooler goes, it is just a normal Igloo 60qt Ice Cube cooler

  • Help me plzzzzzzz.

I'm trying to build one of my own but can't find where to get the top part where the speakers are in. Can you help me?

    Thanks,

    George

  • @salazar3911 now, I'm not sure, but I'm thinking the top is custom made with fiberglass.

DO NOT HOLD ME TO THIS THOUGH, because that's just a guess.

  • You have inspired me to build one similar. I will be using the same amp but with (4) Infinity Marine 6x9's. I also am getting an Optima Yellow Top. How long does yours last on a full charge? I am not going to put a head unit, just a 1/8" stereo cord for MP3 player. Still working out the details but will get started on it this weekend. Awesome work, I'll document mine and post it too...

  • What website do you have pictures posted?

  • @krishrib I am sorry, the website I had the picture gallery on went down and I have not uploaded anymore pictures to another site

  • Kenny G rocks.

  • Can you give us the website where you have your pictures posted. I would really appreciate it.

    Thank you

  • Wow! That looks awesome! How many hours did it last with a full charge? Any overheating problems? Where is that website where you have the pictures posted? I'm gonna try to build one?

  • I replaced the axle to allow the new wheels (don't flex with the extra weight)

  • Did you do anything special to replace the wheels? I'm using the same cooler to build a speaker system and I must admit, the wheels are inadequate.

  • hello friend a question kicker marine line has good power performance and sound quality you recommend me? greetings

  • Yes, I recommend them, they have a great frequency range (if you look around at the other brands, they do not go as low)

  • A few questions. I just build one last week but after floating on the river I want to do more. Are you the same person that has a ton of photos on the truck website? Also, how did you hook up the 4 speakers and sub to a 4 channel amp.

  • Yes, I do have a lot of photos on some truck websites. Did the photos help you out with your build? I used the 4 channels from the radio and then amp to power the sub. But for on the river, I would not recommend the sub, 6x9s have a better effect on the river than a sub does. As you can see by my latest radio (wagon) that has 8 6x9s, it was by far the loudest on the radio for memorial weekend that we saw.

  • Great, I was going to go with 4 6.5 and a 10" sub but I will start looking around for some 6x9s. Do you think I should get marine ones, or just marine amp? Also, I get how to make the enclosure on top with pvc, tape, and the foam...but what is next to seal the foam and make it last on a river? Thanks again for your thoughts!

  • it is finished off with fiberglass, the hardest part of the whole thing, and then lots of sanding and then automotive paint.

  • So will you tell me how to make one? I have been looking for over a year...

  • That is exactly what I need for my river trips. How can I make one of these? Where did you the enclosure for the speakers?
