  • ヘッド・スライヂング?何どれ?知らない。Lol

  • ちみもうりょう

  • 説明する人もチョビッとカタコトになってるw

  • Many foreigners find the term "Gaijin" (literally "Outsider") offensive. Even an American professor in my university, who had lived in Japan for tens of years and love Japan much, told us in lesson that he felt sad and frustrated why Japanese people call him "Gaijin.".

  • "Gaijin" or "Gaijin san(Mr. gaijin)" is far away from offensive words. And "Gaijin" is the abbreviation of "Gaikokujin"(foreigner), not outsider. Even teacher can say "Gaijin" or "gaijin san" in front of his students, which means they are not offensive words.

  • 日本語を勉強しているので、その辞書がいります。

  • I want one!

  • wow that veeeery interesting! i would like to try it. but i have to keep studying!!

  • well this is the nakayoubi in japanese well i like to call it the fakyoubi xDDD funny dude

  • わかりやすく説明しようとして逆にこの人日本語がおかしくなってるな

  • hahahahahahha "fukyubi"

annnd I have that exact same poster in my bedroom!

  • Man I want this electronic dictionary.

  • 逆引きっていう機能全然使わないけど

  • 「外人」と言う言い方は差別的な感じがするので嫌われています。「外国人」と言いましょう。

The term "gaijin" is unsuitable as it has a discriminatory meaning. So Fujita should say "gaikokujin" instead of it.

  • 一般の日本人は「外人」という言葉に差別的な意図はありません。外人という言葉に差別的な意識を持っている人間が己の心理を否定する為、声高に糾弾しているだけです。日本人にとって、「海の外」を「海外」、海の「外の人」を「外人」というだけです。かつて、この構図でだっこちゃん人形は排除されました。

  • Wow he speak japanese well

  • The f-yubi joke at the beginning is classic. I think I passed by that shop when I went to Akihabara in 2007. The one for 17,000 I think was a good deal.

  • I think I came to this place when I was in Japan last year.

  • I think I went here when I was in Japan last year.

  • i would recommend you get the DS translator. you can write kanji with the touchscreen and it pronounces words. if you already have a ds it's alot cheaper though that dictionary shown is a good price.

  • That is awesome. I really want an electric dictionary x-x

  • Good video, thank you very much for sharing. I aspire to visit/work (in) japan sometime.

Japan/Japanese is so interesting. Thanks again, and btw George -your personality is so likeable, i wish there were more teachers like you. cheers

    私はこの動画本当が好きです。 日本はとても面白いです。 ありがとう!

    もうお願いします!!

  • it looks like in his mind he's saying "that light is burning my eyes" in the beginning.

  • AHAHAHA i thought the same thing

  • ok, i went there. Its was a different guy but there is still a shop there for dictionnary. Got myself a Sharp (not the one showned but another one) 20 000.

  • This is an old video. The vendor said Sony T1? That's an old model which I had.

Most foreigners don't buy these Sharp Electric Dictionaries...There are 200.000 Brazilians and I don't know anyone who has it.

  • What is the adress of this place? i will be there in 2 weeks.

  • Good video i think, useful. Why is there "otaku" in the tags though? Struck as a bit odd to me.

  • because this is in Akihabara (or Akiba), and otaku can mean a lot of things, we got Anime otaku, Manga otaku, Seiyu Otaku, Train Otaku, e.t.c,

btw, the fullversion of this video is 10:30 minutes or so,

  • i love this vid!

  • do they have those dictionaries for french ?

  • it is a slight chance they might, since french is one of the most used languages, not sure though.

  • akihabara sucks i know someone who got stabbed there.

  • doesnt mean it sucks, stabbing can happen everywhere, not only there. Didn't know about the stabbing though.

but knowing the person who it happened to is not cool, was it a random stab, or just someone with an urge for revenge(?)

  • hahah my freaking mom does it too.. i always wonder why..

  • kanji = lots of practice. i have to practice my kanji all the time so that i dont forget them!

  • kanji is sooo hard....

  • agree, but it is easy to learn once you are up for it. First you need to practice writing it a lot, and I mean a lot.. then suddenly you can read it perfectly, and possibly write it.

I know just around 15-40 kanji's, and it exist more then 3000 kanji's.. probably more.

  • its not hard to miss this shop..

once your out from Akihabara station..you'll see a big tall building..and at the bottom you'll see this..i was so glad to visit there.!! GAHHH!

  • whoa, katakana is difficult. not compared to kanji.

  • Kanjis are easy. Japanese is the most amazing language to learn. it's easy and cool to speak.

  • T.T then you can teach me

    XD

  • @Ermakster 魑魅魍魎? can you read that? haha

  • Not entirely true George. Sorry, but the Japanese will still get pissed off if you give them the finger. They know what it means.

  • I think that we use really weird Japanese English. For exsample. '' Black joke'' means '' Dark humor'', ''Skin head'' means ''Shaving hair'', ''Macho'' means '' Big muscle'' and ''Skinship'' and ''Golden time'' and so on...
