I like snipers/recons because to me they're like ninjas. They use their camo to their advantage. Personally, I use both my camping and cqb skills. (example) I use my Ghillie suit to blend in to my surroundings while capturing a flag. It's fun to watch enemies run around and try to figure out wth is going on. I use my rifle to pick off other snipers and to cover my teammates from afar effectively.
"Snipers"" are supposed to "camp..." They hide in the distance and take out enemies arming or defusing the charge on the MCOM. Or atleast that's how I play. I actually help my team out when I'm using the Recon Kit.

i think you are getting mixed up with the terms 'recon" and 'sniping'. they are VERY different. in bf: bc2 you are a recon not a sniper!
Recon: AKA scout, is someone who hides in the brush from long distances (camps). His primary objective is to spot and locate enemy infentry and vehicles for his teamates to take out. Should only shoot when it is his or his teams tactical advantage, like an enemy capturing a flag. YOu should use your mic to communicate too. Sniper: Shoots anything that moves.

@blackshadow811 I don't care where you are or what you are doing, if you aren't moving you're camping. Take a few shots, move on, and then cover/help your teammates. I get mad when most of the team is sniping in Rush mode and doesn't help with the M-Com stations or objectives. The class is technically Reconnaissance, so they should be scouting ahead, providing distractions, and giving info about enemy positions. Sniping from unexpected directions is very effective and also provides a distraction
@befru i play SQTD not Rush. and im not gonna take a few shots and move thats just stupid. if im sniping im gonna stay in the same general spot (if im getting kills) until someone finds me. i was dominating one match while sniping and a guy sent me a message telling me i modded (what a joke). until someone can stop me im not gonna change my tactics. and yea recon is providing intel but sniping is providing fire from behind the line

You need to stay fairly close to your advancing team members to reliably cover them, unless you have a great view and a ridiculously good aim. Bad Company 2 is a team based game. Play CoD if you only care about getting kills.

i use my RECON class like a RECON class recon sint sniper recon means reconisance (bad english im from brazil) so you have to give your team intel-think of it as this your a commando ahead of your team sabotage enemy tanks spot enemy snipers etc
everybody's in a war of battlefield cod and halo personally although i havent played it (but do have it) it looks amazing i love the variety of vehicles! halo was my first fps and cod i enjoyed the most but they all are fun in their own way

you can always double tap "Y" or the triangle button, when the numbers come up for (eg. 1/000). to reload the sniper faster. btw most cod people do this trick

I agree with Brycecream6t9 and TheRedMantus2 . Snipers don't camp, they stay in a far away position and give support fire for their teammate's. If you want to call it camp, well they do camp, but in a good and teamwork way. They do their job, if camping is their job then they should camp!
@nhoj999heya There's a line between long range support and camping. Long range support is marking enemies, taking out people defending points and clearing paths for your teammates all from far away. Camping is when you don't care who you're shooting at or what you're teammates are doing, you're just trying to get kills.

i hope in BF3 they managed to do something about this recon-class-abuse. they should limit the amount of recon class players playing with sniper rifles (not shotguns etc.) to 3 per team or smth, or only letting players play recon sniper with a minimal amount of skillpoints, like 165.
there is nothing more frustrating than having half the team or squad playing as bushmonsters, staying behind, doing nothing to get to the objective, not even spotting or getting a decent amount of kills. imho recon class is favored by players with poor skill that are too afraid to get into a fight on equal terms and prefer to get a headshot on an unsuspecting enemy (what 90% of them cant pull off anyway) being out of their reach.

If your just gonna go pistol whipping at close range, you may aswell just go assault. Recon units are meant to cover squad mates at a distance and to assassinate certain targets who are attacking objectives. You can use the recon kit agressivley, however going that close is negation your biggest advantage over all other kits.

@Greysterization But your not playing a sniper, your playing a Recon Soldier. yes you have a long range weapon, the suit all that funky stuff, but your mainly an intelligence gathering person/support for your team. Example; you sneak up before everyone, mark your enemies so they know what they are doing. they attack you pop off any stragglers, call in artillery to block off reinforcements. its just not worth it, good players COULD, but its not garunteed to work all the time.
@zero13827 Hell, Even a snipers primary mission isnt to go in and shoot one person, its to report enemy movements, shoot (if necessary), create maps of enemy bases for future attack, and what not. they dont get sent out on mission to shoot a handful of people, thats a waste of resources, usually they are supporting there team or gathering intel to do it better.

Snipers' motion grenades are so USEFULL in heated moments but i barely every see them on my map cause snipers are using them for themselves, not for their teammates

if any of u play on pc and want to snipe long range and still be efficient at cqc attach a acog scope onto your sniper, there will be no bullet drop and its easy to use in cqc.
wicked video, i use the same tactics as well but with the 4x scope. What are the benefits of spec 2 "spot" i usually use the target. Man i love being the engineer and using armor with a good recon. It's foolish how useful recons are when fighting with the squad.
When I play recon I like to stay back and lay down fire for my teammates. I put down mortars on enemy vehicles and snipe the enemies in mounted turrets. You may call that camping, but I spent money on the game, So I'll play however I like.

ALWAYS reload your sniper with one round in the chamber. Swapping out the magazine is faster than drawing the bolt, swapping mags, then sliding the bolt forward. It's faster, and if you have to cancel the reload in an emergency, you have the option of taking a shot with your rifle.

you can always double tap "Y" or the triangle button, when the numbers come up for (eg. 1/000). to reload the sniper faster. btw most cod people do this trick

I agree with Brycecream6t9 and TheRedMantus2 . Snipers don't camp, they stay in a far away position and give support fire for their teammate's. If you want to call it camp, well they do camp, but in a good and teamwork way. They do their job, if camping is their job then they should camp!

@nhoj999heya There's a line between long range support and camping. Long range support is marking enemies, taking out people defending points and clearing paths for your teammates all from far away. Camping is when you don't care who you're shooting at or what you're teammates are doing, you're just trying to get kills.

i hope in BF3 they managed to do something about this recon-class-abuse. they should limit the amount of recon class players playing with sniper rifles (not shotguns etc.) to 3 per team or smth, or only letting players play recon sniper with a minimal amount of skillpoints, like 165.

there is nothing more frustrating than having half the team or squad playing as bushmonsters, staying behind, doing nothing to get to the objective, not even spotting or getting a decent amount of kills. imho recon class is favored by players with poor skill that are too afraid to get into a fight on equal terms and prefer to get a headshot on an unsuspecting enemy (what 90% of them cant pull off anyway) being out of their reach.

When I play recon i usually stay back maybe hide near a bush and i help my teammates to move up to objectives and i get lots of points.
Sometimes i stay near the objective and use my handgun. (one time i got 5000 points for a pin)

If your just gonna go pistol whipping at close range, you may aswell just go assault. Recon units are meant to cover squad mates at a distance and to assassinate certain targets who are attacking objectives. You can use the recon kit agressivley, however going that close is negation your biggest advantage over all other kits.

@Greysterization But your not playing a sniper, your playing a Recon Soldier. yes you have a long range weapon, the suit all that funky stuff, but your mainly an intelligence gathering person/support for your team. Example; you sneak up before everyone, mark your enemies so they know what they are doing. they attack you pop off any stragglers, call in artillery to block off reinforcements. its just not worth it, good players COULD, but its not garunteed to work all the time.

@zero13827 Hell, Even a snipers primary mission isnt to go in and shoot one person, its to report enemy movements, shoot (if necessary), create maps of enemy bases for future attack, and what not. they dont get sent out on mission to shoot a handful of people, thats a waste of resources, usually they are supporting there team or gathering intel to do it better.

Snipers' motion grenades are so USEFULL in heated moments but i barely every see them on my map cause snipers are using them for themselves, not for their teammates

wicked video, i use the same tactics as well but with the 4x scope. What are the benefits of spec 2 "spot" i usually use the target. Man i love being the engineer and using armor with a good recon. It's foolish how useful recons are when fighting with the squad.

When I play recon I like to stay back and lay down fire for my teammates. I put down mortars on enemy vehicles and snipe the enemies in mounted turrets. You may call that camping, but I spent money on the game, So I'll play however I like.

Good recons r w/ their squad callin in close mortat support on enemy positions while they charge up wit team. And really that is the point of Battlefield. Winning with your team. ALWAYS reload your sniper with one round in the chamber. Swapping out the magazine is faster than drawing the bolt, swapping mags, then sliding the bolt forward. It's faster, and if you have to cancel the reload in an emergency, you have the option of taking a shot with your rifle.
