@EdDy4RheelZ I wonder how many people have told you you're a joke? You talk a lot of shit but I can tell you're a total novice trying (hoping) for some respect...aren't you?. @jeffsor47 Haha, yeah, I'm sure having a felon record qualifies for a joke. It's very clear that you have never even been in a fight before in your life. Because clearly, anyone with a common sense who has been into real fights or seen real fights will know that when people fight for reals, it'll either look like kickboxing when fight is on stand-up or look like wrestling + pound/grapple if it goes to the ground. It won't look like shit out of the movies.
@jeffsor47 You kung fu(except sanshou and shuai jiao) idiots live in a dream world, never fought in real life, dance around wooden dummies, and have yet to fight against real fighters. Go back to your mom's basement and keep jacking off to kung fu movies.
@EdDy4RheelZ Sounds like I hit a nerve with you, doesn't it?. You don't impress anyone with your bullshit. Now go back to fantasizing about your martial arts skills. Just out of curiosity how many world titles have you actually won in your wet dreams?.
@jeffsor47 haha, telling me that I fantasize when you wrote here that you can beat up Cung Le out in the streets and that he'll get his ass kicked by Wing Chunners. ROFL. Fantasy fan boys like yourself who have lost touch with the reality in fighting world have so much to learn about real fighting. When dealing with experienced fighters anywhere, I'll assure you, you won't be able to pull off any of those illegal strike moves you mentioned.
@EdDy4RheelZ Not only do you fantasize about yourself, you fantasize about what I never said about Cung Le also. If I have anything to learn about the fighting world it sure won't be from you, now will it. .
@jeffsor47 Unless you can show me any empirical evidence of Wing Chun ever working against experienced fighters, whether out in the streets or in any full contact competitions, your comments don't mean shit. Existence of K-1 and MMA has proven and debunked that WC never has and never will work against experienced fighters. I can show you plenty of evidences of why Wing Chun sucks and it's literally the worst martial art ever. Anyways, keep dreaming and live in your fantasy world.
@EdDy4RheelZ I don't practice Wing Chun. I'm a long time practicioner of Kung Fu San Soo. You've probably never heard of it with your limited knowledge of asian martial arts. Here's something for you to ponder: Who is tougher, Superman, Ironman or you (Fantasyman)???
@EdDy4RheelZ You keep on having the mindset of "prove-what-you're-worth" IN A CONTROLLED, RULES-BASED SETTING: i.e. MMA/K-1. In real life situations, there are no rules, and thus WC would go for pressure points and vulnerable, damaging areas. People who test Wing Chun in a MMA scenario is not reflective of true Wing Chun practitioners because those people who participate in it do it for glory. Why must people prove that martial art A is better than B?
@EdDy4RheelZ You seem to miss the entire point of martial arts. Martial arts promotes spiritual, physical growth. Sometimes, you need it to defend yourself, AS A LAST RESORT, life or death situations, from people who want to harm you for no reason. MMA fighters are dedicated martial artists who train specifically for a rules-based-sport. They are just as capable of defending for their own lives "on the street." But why must you make those 2 categories fight each other? No point.
@yoshiofdeath Wrong. MMA has been proven effective in any situations such as streets. MMA is also a self-defense system unconsciously. You can find tons of MMA fighters fighting in streets and proving their effectiveness as well as defending themselves. MMA invites all ninjas/wingchunners/krav maga fighters to come forth and test out their skills. No rules, no cage, no referee, just pure street. Back in 90s, winner was rewarded 100k. Times have changed and reward is higher now.
why are there all talks about wing chun sucks.. muay thai is awesome.. is like comparing football with tennis.. -_- its just sport.. there are no reason for us to hate it, right?
@Sakuretsu94 Wing Chun is not sport. It is created by lady to defend herself, so not need great power. Only swift movements, and logical technique.WingChun created hundreds of years ago, not about sport. Like Muay Thai. Except Muay Thai become sport, Wing Chun not become sport yet.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA, LMFAO at defending against a jab. Wing Chun is load of bullshit. Try that shit against Floyd Mayweather, Manny Pacquiao, Vladimir Klitschko, Mike Tyson, Muhammad Ali(doesn't even need to be his prime time. even now in his current state is good enough) would give these wing chun fantasy idiots a run for their money. I'm happy RDJ found something to do active and stay off drugs but this wing chun bullshit is nonsense and he should just do boxing, muay thai, savate, bjj, mma, etc.
@wckwoon I have nothing against Robert Downey Jr. He's one of my favorite current actors right now. I enjoy Iron Man series, Sherlock Holmes series, and etc. But I also train in Muay Thai and Wing Chun has been proven ineffective in any full contact competitions, even on the streets against experienced fighters. Do you really believe this bullshit Eric Oram demonstrated will work on experienced fighters? MMA, K-1, and any full contact competitions have shown how ineffective wing chun is
@EdDy4RheelZ Maybe it's ineffective for you, 'coz you want to kick a butt and that's not working when you didn't get the main point in this. Just saying... This kind of kung fu is about something different. And if you passed at least through first step of basically any kung fu (or any act in life) you would understand. The first step is harking.
@EruvieBruinen Wrong. Kung Fu just means Chinese Martial Arts. There are many styles within Chinese Martial Arts. There's Sanda, Baguazhang, Hung Gar, Shuai Jiao, Wing Chun, Choy Li Fut, Drunken Kung Fu, etc. But guess what? Only ones that train realistically and fight like a true warrior and a real fighter are Sanshou(Sanda) and Shuai Jiao(Chinese folk wrestling). MMA has debunked many Kung Fu nonsense and the only ones that are proven effective are Sanda and Shuai Jiao.
@EdDy4RheelZ Geez, man, you absolutely missed my point. I don't care really (and I'm not the only one here) what are you saying because you see only your opinion. I was trying to open your eyes...well, you're not listening to others at all. So I will stop trying then. Enjoy your life full of persuading others :) Bye for eternity. I hope I'll never see your comments again :D
@EdDy4RheelZ Wrong again! Kung Fu San Soo is the real deal when it comes to "street fighting". No rules! groin strikes, eye strikes, joint locks, sweeps, throws, stomps etc. are all taught and acceptable when defending yourself on the street. San Shou is distant cousin to San Soo but a much kinder gentler sport, San Soo is brutal and no sport with no tournaments. Check out YouTube Kung Fu San Soo for the real deal. ex. Plays Vista Martial Arts Reseda Ca.if you're serious, if not keep talking
@jeffsor47 Only failures make excuses for their failure to prove their effectiveness in full contact competitions. MT fighters are heavily disadvantaged in K-1 since K-1 prohibits elbows. Do they use that as an excuse for not winning? They join and win championships, such as Por Pramuk, Overeem, Bonjasky, etc. Chinese elite forces use Sanshou and Shuai Jiao bcz they know what the real deal is. You fantasy boys live in a dream world and have yet to fight against real fighters.
@jeffsor47 I respect arts that have sport version of its art than arts that have no type of contact but only do demonstrations and dance around the dummies. In order to put your training and techniques to the test, you must fight in contact form, whether it be semi-contact or full contact. You fantasy fan boys will never learn this.
@EdDy4RheelZ Sure, Sure. Cung Le is great in the ring but it's not street. If you don't practice using dirty fighting tactics they won't be there when you need them on the street....so ..sorry you don't get that.
@jeffsor47 It's clear that you have never been in a fight in your life. Many of you fantasy fan boys never put your training to the test by having a contact. Never seen any of wing chunners or san soo train and fight for reals where it involves throat strikes, groin kicks, eye gouges. Keep dancing and excuse your failure to prove anything in any full contact competition to the rules. As I said before, MMA started out with no rules. Go look up Gracie Challenge.
@jeffsor47 In Thailand, there are many cage fights where it has no rules, much like gladiator type of fighting but bare handed, no weapons. Guess what? Only ones who survive are those who are heavily experienced in kickboxing or big buff wrestling/grappling dudes. And trust me, you won't be able to strike experienced fighters' groins, throats, eyes easily and when you can't, you're heavily fucked, especially when you've been dancing all your life instead of fighting in contact form.
@jeffsor47 Combat sports in the past were made for a reason. They were created with rules that prohibit usage of anything unrelated to what they specifically trained, while determining who's a better practitioner at the end of the day. However, MMA started out with no rules with an intention of testing all martial arts and combat sports. Rules were created when things got out of control where it could've been prevented while determining who's a better fighter at the end of the day.
@wckwoon Since you're located in Los Angeles, I'm very sure you're aware of what happened with other major Wing Chun school that was runned by Joe Sayah. I currently live in Northridge but after hearing what Joe Sayah has done in Ventura/Encino, and also seeing him getting his ass kicked by Kakuda in K-1 but yet, filling people's brains with lies of how effective and deadly wing chun is and how he was protege of william cheung and also have picture together, wing chun disgusts me.
@EdDy4RheelZ Bravely spoken "computer warrior" but I'd bet you wouldn't last 3 seconds on the street with a parry and strike to your temple....would you?. Continue with your wannabe dreams. Just think, behind the computer you can be Superman, Spiderman or anyone else just close your eyes and you can become the hero you truly crave to be! lol
I never hated, just got a little angry is all. Hating takes way more of an insult and and a considerable degree of energy which is ultimately, just a waste an bad for you. Which you probably know, lol.
@wckwoon well far be it for insult someone's kung fu brother, my apologies for the insult I know how that feels. I just get angry, I see so much Sam kwok stuff an tong lau, and see no reasoning behind the movement. This to me seems the same, changing when change isn't required seems moot to me is.
@wolfengreg I'm pretty sure that you're no novice. I've only been doing WC for 41 years but I do know a few things about WC. First of all Eric is my WC brother and he teaches the same WC I do. His footwork and hands are fine according to the WC we do. It's obviously different from the WC you. And I understand where you're coming from. I used to teach the "popular" WC that you do and I thought the same as you when I was first introduced to the WC I do now.
@cameronameri lol, it's a demo young man. That's all. Are there any applied WC full contact clips? I have lots of our WC fights on this and my sifupr channel.
its funny when it comes to "discussing" martial arts it just turns into a cock measuring thing instead of a pass on of information. smooth guys, no wonder the traditional styles are dying out (Y)
There are too many anonymous trolls on the web. I respect people who use their real identities. When you post anonymously you don't have to be responsible for what you say. I sometimes wonder if most anonymous posters are 13 year old kids using their big brother's computers.
I have no special sense of Wing Chun. There is nothing mystical or secret in Wing Chun. Those are Sifus fairy tales made up to hide the fact that they don't know real Ving Tsun. The difference is I have been trained correctly, so can easily see the common mistakes and know how to take advantage of them.
The only question I have is how will Eric Oram and/or his students react to being easily defeated? Will they want to relearn WC/VT correctly from us? Or continue selling their bullshit?
@EDGERUNNER2020 You are really showing your ignorance about Wing Chun. No one can claim they know a "correct" WC/VT/WT since there are so many different lineages. Some are only aware of Yip Man WC but there are versions that have nothing to do with Yip Man. Did you know that Yip Man never claimed to be "Grandmaster" of WC since he had seniors who taught all over S.E. Asia? That "my dad can beat your dad" attitude is ridiculous. GTFU.
@wckwoon its not the lineages that give you good wing chun, its the base, the structure, and good basics, they are the same in all martial arts. if you need to know more i can explain!!
@singhakabuttar How old are you? I've been doing martial arts since 1966 in Okinawa. I've done various Chinese martial arts since 1970. I've learned to speak Cantonese so that I could understand the southern Chinese martial arts better. I studied Chinese Acupuncture and Herbs. So please feel free to explain to me the basics of martial arts. I'm all ears.
@wckwoon well if youve been learning from 1966 in okinawa, maybe i could open my ears a little for you, ive been doing martial arts since the age of 12, im 37, im off to okinawa for the second time in three weeks time, ive studied a wide range of martial arts, the art i study is goju ryu, i look into other arts also, such as wing chun, southern mantis, they have a close resemblance to goju ryu, the basics of martial arts is a good structure, the ability to use your entire body when striking.
@wckwoon i might look him up, ill be there in two weeks time, my plan is to train at the jundokan dojo, also to look around at other dojos, to see how they train, thanks
Eric Oram did not choreograph the fight scenes in Sherlock Holmes, he was merely a consultant. Besides that, his Wing Chun is weak and lousy. But hey, in the land of LA/Hollywood, just about everything is a facade anyhow. Too bad Robert Downey Jr got duped into thinking he is learning real Wing Chun from this bozo.
Where I'm from, real Wong Shun Leung Ving Tsun lineage , we CANNOT be bullshitted. I've already read Oram's weakness just by watching his lousy positioning in his form and chi sao. Not exactly Oram's fault, since thousands of people are fooled by bullshit artists like William Cheung. I know, cuz I too was once fooled by a Chinese instructor's grandiose fairy tales.
PS: Oram will try to avoid the encounter, cuz he likely already has a sense that his Wing Chun is weak.
@EDGERUNNER2020 Well, I await the video of him declining or getting beat. Just like your special sense of weak Wing Chun, I also have a skill in knowing when someone if full of shit.
For the record, I have trained with the Sifu Eric Oram and he is an excellent teacher. Must be an old video, as Eric moved to his new school years ago. Would personally recommend Sifu Orim as a Wing Chun teacher.
@jeffsor47 Just letting you know, you talk as if MMA is a style. MMA is a center where it puts all martial arts to the test.
Fedor = Sambo champ
Yoshida = Judo champ(Olympics gold medalist)
Cung Le = Sanshou champ
Overeem = K-1 champ
Ray Mercer and James Toney = WBO, Olympics Boxing champs
Hong Man Choi = Ssireum champ
MMA fighters have way more accomplishments than any of your fantasy arts will ever accomplish.
As I said, go back to your mom's basement and keep jacking off to kung fu movies.

its funny when it comes to "discussing" martial arts it just turns into a cock measuring thing instead of a pass on of information. smooth guys, no wonder the traditional styles are dying out (Y)

There are too many anonymous trolls on the web. I respect people who use their real identities. When you post anonymously you don't have to be responsible for what you say. I sometimes wonder if most anonymous posters are 13 year old kids using their big brother's computers.

@wckwoon I agree that they are 13YO or they are a bunch of MMA wannabe's that have no skills other than talking trash.

EDGERUNNER2020 1 year ago
@EDGERUNNER2020 You are really showing your ignorance about Wing Chun. No one can claim they know a "correct" WC/VT/WT since there are so many different lineages. Some are only aware of Yip Man WC but there are versions that have nothing to do with Yip Man. Did you know that Yip Man never claimed to be "Grandmaster" of WC since he had seniors who taught all over S.E. Asia? That "my dad can beat your dad" attitude is ridiculous. GTFU.
wckwoon 1 year ago 14
@wckwoon its not the lineages that give you good wing chun, its the base, the structure, and good basics, they are the same in all martial arts. if you need to know more i can explain!!
singhakabuttar 10 months ago
@singhakabuttar How old are you? I've been doing martial arts since 1966 in Okinawa. I've done various Chinese martial arts since 1970. I've learned to speak Cantonese so that I could understand the southern Chinese martial arts better. I studied Chinese Acupuncture and Herbs. So please feel free to explain to me the basics of martial arts. I'm all ears.
wckwoon 10 months ago
@wckwoon well if youve been learning from 1966 in okinawa, maybe i could open my ears a little for you, ive been doing martial arts since the age of 12, im 37, im off to okinawa for the second time in three weeks time, ive studied a wide range of martial arts, the art i study is goju ryu, i look into other arts also, such as wing chun, southern mantis, they have a close resemblance to goju ryu, the basics of martial arts is a good structure, the ability to use your entire body when striking.
singhakabuttar 10 months ago
@singhakabuttar I studied Shorinryu with Eizo Shimibuku in Kin Village Okinawa while I was a Marine after my first tour in Vietnam.
wckwoon 10 months ago
@wckwoon i respect that, im currently studying under the jundokan in asato okinawa, i am a member of a dojo in the uk which is affiliated,
is shimibuku sensei still actively teaching?
singhakabuttar 10 months ago
@singhakabuttar I think he's still alive. I have seen him since 1966-67
wckwoon 10 months ago
@wckwoon i might look him up, ill be there in two weeks time, my plan is to train at the jundokan dojo, also to look around at other dojos, to see how they train, thanks
singhakabuttar 10 months ago
@singhakabuttar He used to teach right outside the gate of the Marine Base Camp Hansen. The town was called Kin Village.

Sifu Eric Oram choreographed the fights in Sherlock Holmes.
There is even a wing chun dummy in the corner of Holmes's London flat.
WingChunLover2 1 year ago
@WingChunLover2
EDGERUNNER2020 1 year ago
@EDGERUNNER2020 Consultant indeed. I stand corrected. Eric Oram is a real martial artist under Grandmaster William Cheung. Who the fuck are you?
WingChunLover2 1 year ago
@WingChunLover2
I am the guy who will visit Eric Oram's school shortly to prove what I say is the truth. Will he even accept the challenge?
PS: Persons as talented as Robert Downey Jr deserve to learn real Ving Tsun.
EDGERUNNER2020 1 year ago
@EDGERUNNER2020 Please post that here when it happens. I can use a laugh.
WingChunLover2 1 year ago
@WingChunLover2
EDGERUNNER2020 1 year ago
@EDGERUNNER2020 Well, I await the video of him declining or getting beat. Just like your special sense of weak Wing Chun, I also have a skill in knowing when someone if full of shit.
WingChunLover2 1 year ago
@EDGERUNNER2020 Why are you hating on someone else's success? Do something on your own dude.

For the record, I have trained with the Sifu Eric Oram and he is an excellent teacher. Must be an old video, as Eric moved to his new school years ago. Would personally recommend Sifu Orim as a Wing Chun teacher.
