This has got to be the best rendition of this great song.If you ever want to learn the words of a song ,listen to Burl Ives as he sings every word with great clarity.Miss you loads.
I remember it now, it went like this: There was a little turtle who lived in a box, He swam in a puddle, and He climbed on the rocks. He snapped at a mosquito, He snapped at a flea, He snapped at a minnow, He snapped at me. He caught the mosquito, He caught the flea He caught the minnow, But he didn't catch me!
I listened to this and other songs on an album I had when I was about 5 years old. I remember this song mad me a bit sad when I heard it. I also remember another not-so-well known song about a Turtle who lived in a box. Great children music. I suppose good adult music if you're like me.

Not as popular or as well-known as many of his others, but my mother used to sing this, so I love the song.
