  • Thank you for caring about our trails. With the high power bikes these days, stewardship is more important than ever to keep trail damage low.

  • Any rider who calls themself an expert and does not know something this simple is not an expert rider. Im no expert and this is beginner stuff for me.

  • Great video, I've only recently started tail riding (short ones in the UK), your tips make sense, and are easy to understand. Thanks.

  • thanks dude

  • i think i seen some squids, good job dave i wish i could show this at squid camp but most people dont want to learn to ride they like machine gromed quad crap

  • I caught myself pushing off with my legs in these situations the last time I rode, and that was after I watched this video and understood what to do. Once I kept the back of the seat weighted, up and over was cinch. Learning is repetitive, and old habits die hard. Keep up the great work.

  • Thanks! Good video, the examples make it really clear!

  • good tips,hope to see more,thx..

  • surprised you run knobby tire on the rear. Try trials tires for roots and rocks and just about everything else. PLus, they don't dig up the trails, they GRIP the trails.

  • @modcit Trials Tires are great, for sure! However, with good skills a rider can keep a knobby hooked up and avoid spinning and digging. I have seen unskilled riders with a Trials Tire spinning a digging...

  • I have been riding trails for about 35 years and i find your videos to be usefull i have used your techniques many times and they work well.hope you keep posting videos

  • I mean with all respect: the yamaha guy is a total idiot!!!!!!!

  • Great tip. Thx for posting

  • It really worked. But the last time I trailed along with 20 buddies, I got stuck in a similar root obstacle because of the cavity just before it that is already created by some wheel spinners ahead of me. The dug out was already big enough to swallow half the circumference of my rear wheel. Damn! I only got through when I finally retreated 6 meters down, held my bike in a prone position, elevated my ass about 2 inches from seat and powered my donkey like there's no more tomorrow.

  • I`ve learned something and used it already on my last riding day, please keep your channel alive with simple, ground trail ridng tips, not everybody keeps a 20years experience in Enduroriding and is happy about free, usefull tips like that.

    Thank you from Switzerland

  • This really is the idiots guide to.. it took 7:55 to teach a :30 min principle, teach us more lessons not the same thing over and over

  • @ccc0mb0IIIIIIbReakeR Learning is repetitive, practicing skills and technique is boring for most riders. "Let's Ride" is more fun for many riders, than finding a flat open practice area, to do repetitive drills.

Sadly, many riders once stopped on a root, or rock step, start pushing, unweighting the seat and causing significant impact, to once pristine trails. Including expert riders who have not learned this simple tip. Result more trail closures...

  • Thanks!
