I'd say the odds of K. Rool being in the next Smash Bros. is pretty good. Nintendo still has rights to him as can be seen by the fact that he was in the most recent Mario Baseball game.

The fact that Nintendo used him in a multi-player video game is also good news because Nintendo tends to get obsessed with one character and throw them in everything. Just look at Petey Pirhana.

@Bledoston I liked the New DKC Returns game, but to me, it only seemed like half a game without the Kremlings in it. Its like a Mario game without Bowser in it. It just seems wrong.

Dont get me wrong, I loved Returns, but it just felt off to me. I've played Every DKC ever made, and a game without just is... I dunno.
