At first, I did not think the recording was good enough -- but, Ice liked it & chose this song from a few rough acoustic things I sent her. She felt it should be heard & the professsionalism of this video gave me the courage to release it . Thank you for recognizing her as well.

Mike, you really are a truly talented person!! So far I have heard 5-6 of your songs and none of them sound similar to the others. That shows how versatile your ability is to write music and perform. Your voice has a lot of edge in this song, which is very unique and uncompromising. I always love hearing songs with just an acoustic guitar and vocals, and this one is one of the best I have heard.

@persevere4 Yeah, I was thinking about that "adventure" once again, and well ... it must have been a funny sight to the locals, a couple of southern guys from Atlanta, in shorts, t-shirts and flip-flops getting into an aluminum boat which was about the same temp as that cold mountain lake water. I think we stayed on that lake for about 20 minutes - and finally, said the heck with this - found a local country store nearby, bought some beer and waited for the bus to leave :) Thanks again, Mike

@thebluesrockers Thanks man! Yeah, I know what you are talking about; but, because of the basic manner in which I recorded this tune, there were limitations mix wise. In essence, the guitar was too low -- so to increase it (which was necessary), vocals went up as well. Again, there are no effects on this recording. However, I think Ice's amazingly professional video helped offset the raw nature of the recording. BTW -- thanks for putting this in your favorites -- we are truly honored!! Mike
