A master's cleanse? really. I thought about it once and I talked about it with my friend that is majoring in Health and Fitness and he was saying that it was a very bad idea to try. but if you have by now how did it work out?
As to the master cleanse, I've heard some amazing results from people who have done it....while they did it. All kinds of conditions cleared up, weight was lost. But once it was done, they hadn't gained any new tools to change what needed to be changed before. And more often than not revert to those older habits only to face the same challenges.
Also asked a doctor, whose opinion I respected, about their thoughts on the cleanse. They said it was actually really hard on the body...
....due to the severity of the shock it has on the system. If you're thinking about a cleanse, think about doing it through what you eat and drink. Think about how each positive change you make, IS cleansing your system, cleaning the slate and bringing you back to zero. Just a little more gently, which your body will appreciate in the long run.
Again, think about making your intake of liquids cleaner.
To make it the most optimal combination for you, it takes some exploration and the resulting learning about yourself that comes with it. Programs like weight watchers do it all for you. They take away the benefit from your developing a more attuned awareness of yourself. Thus aren't really geared towards progressing beyond it.
I'd say save your money. Perhaps (down the road) it does end up being the best option. For now, start with making the changes right in front of you.
A couple thoughts on your questions. There are many different options out there for many different people. What work for some, may not work for others and vice versa.
So it will definitely be a process of discovery to find what works best for you. The thing with weight watchers (or programs like it) is it's average. It has to be average in order to hit on some level, the broadest range of people. It may work for a bit, but it will never be truly customized to your needs.

A great place to start is with liquids taken in throughout the day.
