  • If someone can be reduced to worship a book, they can easily be reduced to commit mass murder.

  • Matt shud b a preacher llol.. jk aniwayz he knowz what hes talkin bout

  • This video is so great, i love it. Love you Matt and Tracie too.

  • YAHWAY. . . or the highway!

  • tracy's rant is fucking incredible in this episode. i love her lol.

  • God if he existed was a c^&ksucker. Pure and simple. You religious 'tards need to READ your bible. From start to finish.

  • This should be funny....but it's just sad that people are so delusional to think they know a bunch about god. They can't prove it exists, but they know what it's thinking and why it does things? Please.

  • @VesusSheist Yet, God works in mysterious ways?

  • Perhaps the creator is bipolar. He seems to have some terrible mood swings.

  • 1:13 matts face expresion made me lmao

  • "If you break it, you've bought it". A woman was like goods in astore. If a man raped her, she would be his. And I guess he would have to pay for her too.

  • @kadene2 that is one more moral problem whith the bible. So the God himself, instead of telling his followers not to threat women as objects and not to punish them for being raped goes on and tells them to treat women as if they were men's property and tells them not to punish the rapist but instead punish the victim. How moral would that god be to set up a society like that?

This crap was a loophole for any bastard who wanted some girl but she didnt like him, so all he had to do was to rape her

  • This caller is getting Matt and Tracy slapped ...big time....get em guys!!!

  • @spareaxe deluded?

  • "We partook of the fruit of the tree"? Speak for yourself, mate!

  • God told me that I must never put on my right sock before my left, am I immoral if I don´t obey?

  • @halfsquad hi there. I totally agree with you. I had my first ever atheist Christmas and last year, and it was wonderful. I am still adjusting from some damage, but leaving that nightmare is the best thing I have done in my life. Best wishes to you

  • @bagospannerz All atheists applaud your good sense- live well!

  • The caller is a fucking retard.....this would go for anyone who believes the same.

  • Comment removed

  • This guy is absolutely correct this so called god (dog) is a mean hateful psychotic insane retarded faggot bastard and the day the human race find out the better we'll all be.

  • Why didn't god just create a PS3 with a 300 Billion GB Hard Drive and then a game called "The Human Race" and play it for a few million years, maybe with satan on multiplayer?

  • @lewisner 300 billion gigs wouldn't be enough space, and maybe God has to obey Moore's law.

  • @lewisner More like an X box - it has a crucifix on it

  • It's funny how people still think that logic from 2,000 years ago won't be trumped by modern day science.

  • Religion is Insanity.............

  • 2:35 - 2:49 the summary of all religions in 14 seconds. plain ridiculous.

  • Waking up from this nightmare we know as Christianity was the best thing I have ever done with my life. Hands down.

  • Saw the first video, followed all the way through to the third one.

  • Poor John. Always getting pwned so hard. :(

  • these three parts might be my favorite segment of the show I've ever seen

  • Comment removed

  • Tracy and Matt for the win!

  • Sacrifice? Seriously? Who here would not be willing to have the shit kicked out of themselves then hung on a cross for the entire world, for all of time, to become a part (literally) of god. I'm already in line ahead of you. So what is the sacrifice? Many have suffered a fate worse than a cross. There are worse things than death!!

  • @pumpstations this is irrelevant to the point theyre making, they're saying an all loving moral being wouldn't behave like this.

  • @SuLLyZorZ I agree with you 100% about a god having this type behavior.

However, I can't imagine any more than a small minority that would not gladly (jump on board. lol) to become a ruler for all of time for the small inconvenience (comparably) of having 1 mortal life/body put to death. If it were true. It would be more like winning the ultimate lotto.

  • If anyone's god comes with constraints, they can't claim it's all powerful as well. Because if you're all powerful that means that by definition you do NOT have constraints.

Fact is religion is so silly that even a few basic questions make even the weasely apologists who lie about this crap for a living twist themselves into pretzels, trying to find a way to say 'DOES TOO!'

  • Hey, if the scenario that Matt made up at the end of 8th minute is true then we'll go to his heaven and his paradise since he wouldn't be such a dick. ;)

  • Lolz that lady was really quiet in the first 2 parts, and boom she exploded right in the last part of this video.

  • OR ELIMINATE EVIL!!! OR ELIMINATE EARTH AND EXISTENCE AND JUST MAKE THE GOOD GOD DAMN PEOPLE AND PUT THEM IN HEAVEN!!!!! RELIGION IS BRAINLESS!

  • Heres what i want to know. If there really was a god. Id think hed want good nice smart people in "heaven" or whatever with him.. even if it is all about worship he still has the worship of all the pawns still on the earth. so why wouldnt he bring the people up to "heaven" that were locgical thinkers and not just a herd of sheep? i mean... thats what i would do. bring up the people who werent so brain dead that they just follow what theyre told..

  • by the way i'm a catholic, i'm not an atheist, i'm not against of everyone's belief whether they are atheist, christian, Muslim etc. actually i do respect them, i just don't like the idea of why this atheist people have to put this on video and its like they're spreading their belief. its almost like their starting a new religion though they don't have belief, ironic isn't it...

  • @bonnrabida No...because a disbelief isnt a belief..

  • @KeySour ok fine your the smartest man about belief, happy?

  • CHRISTIAN PLEASE!! stop this cause there is no reason to talk about what God is and what Jesus did, you're only disgracing what you believe in, live on what you believe and there is no sense on argueing with this aethist coz this is what they believe, don't act like you know all about graciousness and righteousness, just live your life as it is and stick to what you believe in.

  • @bonnrabida "you're only disgracing what you believe in, live on what you believe and there is no sense on argueing with this aethist "

Then why the hell are you arguing, nitwit?

  • @moopism correction.i'm not arguing with anybody, i just want this nonsense to be stop coz there's no reason to argued about god. i'm just saying my opinion and there's no need for you to answer back you'll do as i say if you are an open minded person right. coz your not making sense at all don't act like you figured it all out. there's a big diff b/w argue and opinion, i maybe deliver it in a wrong way

  • @dname1000 "i maybe deliver it in a wrong way"

Inserting yourself into another disagreement is like breaking up a dog fight with your bare hands. You risk getting bit.

Personally, I think there's plenty of reason to debate about 'god'. first and foremost, because throughout the course of history, different societies have assumed their cultural superiority over others in the name of whatever god they imagined, and horrors and oppression ensued. Can't ignore that fact.

  • @moopism Religious believers live in a 1 seasonal imaginery mind and by ignoring facts, history, they contribute to ignorance that only exists with people usimg words like faith, belief and god. One thing is for sure, if the discussion about god continues, people will get more info which's damaged his/her/its image. Have to be a fool to believe in an entity that has caused so much anguish, commanding death by hunger of 18000 in Africa each day+ killing 250000 with tsunami. This is Kindness???

  • @Pashatube Agreed.

  • @dname1000 Second of all, my remark was addressed to bonnrabida and the remarks that user made. That was and A to B conversation, so C your way out of it.

  • @dname1000 "you'll do as i say if you are an open minded person right."

Open minded people don't issue ultimatums to other because they don't like what they have to say. So take you little censorship crap and fuck off.

  • I don't believe in God but I do see something interesting in the story of Abraham, if not so original.. At the risk of becoming another Theologian: God could bring back his son, he could hold himself to rights after action and could perhaps never hope to justify himself. Does that detract from the action, the instant? Is there not something sacrosanct in action? Do some actions not scar you forever? Is that not what Abraham's sacrifice entails on the slow acent of Mount Moriah? Action

  • Atheists also make positive claims. They claim theists are deluded, that the Bible is a fairy tale and that God doesn't exist. These claims also required evidence to be proven otherwise they turn into faith claims. Do you like to be part of a cult? If not, then get the evidence or get out. If your atheism isn't based on evidence you're just changing one religion for another.

Is it possible an immaterial consciousness exists? Be honest. Is there a possible world in which it could?

  • @dejesusluisx I'm an atheist and I'm telling you that I say that there is no reason to take any "holy book" at it's word as true. why should I. What makes it true? What makes yours true above all others? What makes your interpretation of (just your book) true above all other interpretations? And how do you justify it?... I don't believe in the supernatural because there is no proof of any such thing. And claims made in just one of MANY different books, amounts to nothing on it's own.

  • 22 88 , my birth date and my birth year :D

  • Of course John cannot answer a question, he is a christian.

Christians cannot answer a question with just a simple answer, they must twist and turn first.

  • I like Tracie, but sometimes she needs to shut the fuck up, and stop interrupting Matt, and let him finish a thought.

  • @darthelghastN7 Hello, I have no real comment except to say I know what you mean. I am so tired of commenting on the comment of the ignorant masses of christian, but I seem addicted to commenting. LOL, i was a christian until I was 32 which was 16 years ago. Glad to see logic and reason.

  • Pfff, those crazy christians and their god...

    ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn

  • @dejesusluisx

"God exists, that's the accepted claim by the majority of people, you want to challenge that, bring the evidence, the burden of proof is on YOU."

Being in the majority doesn't mean the burden of proof is on the minority - the BoP is on anybody making a claim, and atheism makes no claims; it's a REJECTION of a claim (and this isn't the same as claiming something else).

  • God == Guy playing Civilization XXVI

  • LOL this caller's "logic" is funny. God is love, but his primary function is judgment. God can forgive people, but it's in his "character" to demand blood sacrifice before he forgives.

This "god" doesn't sound like an authority on anything. He sounds more like really bad BDSM fiction.

  • Matt is my god!!

  • God's character of holiness... demanded the sacrifice of animals, and then a human. This is a KFC Party Bucket of FAIL.

  • Calling in when Matt and Tracie are on is like looking for a gas leak with a candle.

  • I've never heard "the system" broken down like that. Fantastic. It's really given me a lot more to think about.

  • Haha like the tittle of this one lol

  • God told me that putting your left sock on before your right is immoral, REPENT SINNERS

  • John seems like a really nice guy.

    Tracie nailing it again BTW.

  • @mahmoudyzadeh Yeah, nice guy but dumber than a bag of wet mice

  • @yatter1 no thats not fair. many religious people are intelligent bar when it comes to their indoctrination. many intelligent people believe in stupid stuff like homeopathy/ufo's/ghosts it's very human.

  • @jjcrazi That just means that there are a lot of really stupid people, I agree.

  • This is hands down the most logical, thought provoking video against religion and god that I have ever seen!!!

  • It's appalling to me to hear religious sheeple say that they need god for their own ethical behavior. As a Laveyan Satanist, I have better morality towards the human race than most of them.

  • @signofsatan uh oh, are you saying that you think satan exists?

  • Jesus got executed for being a rabble rouser. His followers were like, oh shit, our rockstar rabbi wasn't untouchable after all. So to save face they had to invent this scenario that he actually meant for it to happen and it was to save humanity in some strange way, and then he rises from the tomb and goes home to God. Fairy tale crap. Anyone who still believes this see-through absurdness is totally deranged.

  • according to the old testament. god does not need blood sacrifaice. so the hole new testament.............is absolutly fucking pointless.

  • The best way to walk away from Christianity is to simply sidestep the religion just enough to observe it from an outsider's point of view. If you do that honestly, you'll agree with Matt about not just the book itself, but in the way that people have chosen to adhere to it: it's insane.

  • So how long did god sit around befor god started to make any thing? When was god first thought? If you open your eyes and see that every thing out there has a start and a end.. If this god wants us to think that it exist why did god put every thing out here with a start and a end?

  • If there's anything consistant about the bible it would be that god is a consistant lunatic.

  • "Instead of making each one of us make a sacrifice, he made one for EVERYBODY."

Hilarious - why the need for ANY sacrifices?

"It is his character of holiness..."

Even MORE hilarious - an all-powerful being with a CHARACTER? WHAT?

  • @JMUDoc yep he is full of holes

  • @JMUDoc Even more to the point - an all-powerful being with a CHARACTER FLAW? LOL

  • @JMUDoc "why the need for ANY sacrifices?"

    Because people are sinners apperantly.

"an all-powerful being with a CHARACTER?"

Yeah, all living minds or persons have character.

Saying that things are hilarious is not a good argument against them though.

  • I love the discussions on this show, very entertaining.

  • John epitomizes the True Believer. He twists himself into a pretzel to avoid answering a question directly and when he does manage to try to answer a question and gets caught in a contradiction he claims, "I did not say what I absolutely clearly did in fact say. What I actually said was the exact complete opposite of what I clearly in fact said the first time." People like John drive me straight up the wall.

  • "blood torture death"!!!!! NOOOOOW!!!

  • Religion is not benign, it is parasitic to it's host.

  • haha matt starts shouting with exasperation in the end, love it when he yells "THATS THE POINT, GOD'S AN ASS"

  • Matt has a good point. The Devil only pissed God off and tempted a few people.God on the other hand killed everyone on the WHOLE FUCKING PLANET except Noah's family.

  • I think everyone undoubtedly MUST learn the definition of god and the divinity very well before arguing about that

  • @abdurrahman0487 The problem is that there is almost as many definition of a god as there is people believing in that god.

Atheists tend to know the bible better than most christians, which is normal because its easiest to believe the bible when you don't actually sit down and read it.

  • @Silentsam7532 i see what do you mean...

but i think every proper human has 'instinct' to find the truth, and to be obvious i'm 14 from KSA <<i know you will normally hate me

i'm completely open minded besides the people around me know that even my parents and i always listen to varied people/thoughts/creeds. besides the people around me know that even my parents, consequently i always get brainwashed by varied thoughts which means there is no brainwash in my opinion.

    a.m.a-7@hotmail.com(optiona)

  • @Silentsam7532 also i want to remind you that gospel and torah is are distorted and edited by people

also some people who badge to islam try to distort the qur'an but it's not distorted yet and i dont think it will be distorted..it will ever be preserved

^^that's my current creed and optimistically we will realize that and find the truth and follow the right and avoid the void

    good luck ;)

  • @abdurrahman0487 Im not sure where KSA is, and I dont hate anyone. I am from Canada.

Ya, the older the religion the more it is changed over time. Islam is not as old, and has not been rewritten like the other books.

The Qur'an does cause some confusion when translated, or at least some say that. There are some obviously bad teachings in the Qur'an. It was written by a general who wanted to keep a strong command of his army.

People need to be willing to admit they may be wrong far more often.

  • @Silentsam7532 KSA=Kingdom of saudi arabia and btw whic army you mean? do you mean hezballah if you mean them... id like to awake you that they are from a fabricated sect called shiite/shia...i opened my brain much to that though but im still against it

  • @abdurrahman0487 I was talking about the old armies that Muhammad lead. His earlier writing was good and peaceful, but some of it was inspiried when he was leading armies in war. Not everything he was inspired to write was good.

The shiite/shia divide is an interesting one. I have heard of different issues that divide them, and it reminds me of the divide between catholic and protestant christians. People can never agree on the gods they wish to believe in.

  • Silentsam7532 do you mean that inspiring by gebril? then that means he hasnt memorized subsequently he fiegn false words ...

my current creed says that he is infallible (i don't mean he won't fall in bit human faults but i limit the sin deeds) but unfortunately i'm not totally sure from that info.

btw the shiite and shia are same but just different names in english but the bummer started with shia/shiite against the proper muslims who i think they are sunni in this period

  • @Silentsam7532 and for the muslim qur'an translation troubles i think u should go back to the arabic Interpretation for qur'an you will find diffirences so don't be surprised if you found variations in the translation

  • @abdurrahman0487 I mean that Muhammad was inspired by ideas he came up with and lied to people and said he spoke to an angel to make what he wrote have a higher authority.

It is obvious that nothing Muhammad wrote had divine inspiration. I am not saying Muhammad was bad, he probably did these things for good reasons. The problem is that he also wrote things for selfish reasons.

Islam is just one religion and should not get any special attention over other religions.

  • @Silentsam7532 ok i pierced something that you think muhammed is liar and islam isn't heavenly religion and you just think he inspired to do that because the arabs in that time are retarded and have so many bad customs and principles..for that i want you to look up for the modern qu'ran miracles ::i know you won't accept to read about the old ones because you think the old peopl are myths source::hopefully u won't be disappointed

and btw what's your parents's religion?

  • @abdurrahman0487 No, not just Muhammad, but all people who claim to be a prohpet of any religion. I think Arabs at the time where a great people who helped advance math, and saved knowledge that the Catholic church was trying to destroy.

i think that Islam is in a transitional time in its development right now and it having problems adjusting to the world. It demands to be taken more seriously than other religions for the same reasons every other religion thinks it is the most important.

  • @Silentsam7532 Are you totally unbeliever? or neutral?

do you think all people who said((i'm amessenger of God)) are liar? or some of them?? also i want you to give me your view toward the miracles and the known events by religious people which happened

i've snet you a message and i want you to read it in your mailbox

  • @abdurrahman0487 I am an unbeliever.

I think that people who said, or say, they are messengers from god are wrong. I think that some are lying on purpose and that others believe what they say, but where only listening to their own thoughts.

I think that anyone who claims to have witnessed a miracle or spoken to an angel, or to a god, is either lying or mistaken. I think that it is the same thing as alien abduction stories or UFO sightings.

  • @Silentsam7532 I disagree. I think some people truly believe God is speaking to them, or that they have seen UFO's. I think this because I've known people without ambition or reason to lie say God spoke to them to make a decision in life or something. It's possible they are all lying for some reason, but it seems more likely that they really believe it.

  • @chuckinator0 I did say that some people do believe what they say.

I did not really care though if they believe what they say is true. All evidence seems to point to them being wrong.

  • @Silentsam7532 Oh sorry, I missed when you said "some." I also thought you meant "wrong" as in morally wrong, and not just incorrect. Sorry I misread. Yeah, I agree that they are probably mistaken.

  • @abdurrahman0487 There are hundreds if not thousands of definitions for the word "god"...so which one "must" be learned?

  • @BastEternal There is none like unto him

So i think only God can learn us

subsequently we need undistorted heavenly(came from him) religion which learns us.

And that concept above is likely logical to everyone

because otherwise makes you naturaly deny the GOD.

Keep it on mind, teh truth will prevail!

  • @abdurrahman0487

    .....

    Let's try this again.

You said that you thought everyone undoubtedly MUST learn the definition of god (whatever that is) and the divinity (whatever that is) very well before arguing about that. Again, which is the definition for "god" that, according to YOU, everyone MUST undoubtedly learn?

  • @BastEternal I told you that i think everyone has instinct inborn, which means he is able to allocate the proper one, that why i said in the previous comment (There is none like unto him) is likely logical to everyone.

btw there are other concepts of God which doesn't make the concept of God that human has broken.

  • @abdurrahman0487

Sorry, but it wasn't inborn in me. You thinking that it does, does not make it fact.

Don't tell folks they all must understand a definition that you can't even provide. Do YOU even know this definition? Enlighten the ones who haven't "discovered" this "inborn" thing you believe everyone has.

  • Comment removed

  • @BastEternal You mean i'm trying to enforce un unseen definition...

Negatory, you were supposed to notice that i was indicating to religion of islam when you were reading{we need undistorted heavenly religion which lears us}.

i was going to send you a URL but you already blocked me.

Eventually don't blame me if described this as evasion.

  • I would like to end this interlocutor peacefully...

I think the aim of this topic isn't observable so i think it's better to deliever and leave it to the GOD to the LORD till he teachs us or until we see the promised events which prove his existence.

    Otherwise is pointless,that's my opinion

    Accept my greetings :D

  • I have never thoughyt of it before, but according to the bible I think that god has done far more harm and evil to the world and to man than the devil ever has.

I also believe the two don't exist, but it does almost seem right that if they did then god and Jesus would be the wolves in sheeps clothing.

I find it funny that the idea of god most people have has nothing to do with the god in the bible they claim is his book.

  • @Silentsam7532 'think that god has done far more harm.......' Where numbers of the dead are given in the Bible God kills 2,476,633 people. There are no numbers given for Noah's flood, Sodom and Gomorrah, or the many plagues, famines, etc., but a good guess makes a grand total of 25,000,000. Satan kills 10 people (the seven sons and three daughters of Job) and he even shares these with God because it was part of a wager.

    just saying.

  • @VestonPance The numbers in the bible are small compared to the number of people killed in the name of the bible.

The number of people that die does is not always the best indicator of good and evil.

I am not really sure what your saying with this though. The fact that god gambles with peoples fates shows what a warped immoral character the god of the bible is.

  • Comment removed

  • Better yet, why is it in Gods character to commit global genocide, but it isn't in his character to kill Satan the most vile thing he ever created?

  • Lets Say God Is An Mother Fucking Asshole .............

  • moral of the story... christians are retards...

  • Normally, I'm a huge fan of Matt's line of questioning. But when he asks the caller if he'd do X if God told him to do it, even I as an Atheist would do whatever God told me to do. Maybe I'm thinking about this question wrong, b/c I'm assuming this God is all powerful and all knowing and would know exactly what threats to make or arguments to convince me to do whatever I was supposed to do.

It's moot because there is no evidence of any such God being. Even if there was, why does he need me?

  • @SBRslacker00 that question from Matt comes up when he tries to point out the absurdity of having such a moral authority that could make you do ANYTHING no matter if it's considered moral or immoral. Maybe there would be such a god, but if there was, he would be a completely evil one, AND while we don't know of such a thing existing it's just kind of nonsensical to believe in such moral authority, especially when most people have better moral standards than him.

  • @SBRslacker00 The point isn't weather or not you'd do it, but weather or not the act would be immediately moral just because god demanded it of you.

  • @sevenbegore

Yes. I guess it begs the question about where morality comes from and whether a so-called God is moral.

I still think there's more than meets the eye in regards to Matt's line of questioning. But at the very least, it plants a seed of doubt and makes the believer question the 'moral authority' of his beliefs.

I guess my final thought is that only a very intelligent and experienced atheist, like Matt, should use this one argument because there seems to be a lot of nuance to it.

  • Tracie will do better to be quiet and let Matt talk... especially when he is in such good form.

  • Right, Jesus died for Christian's sins, but even after they are forgiven, they don't act or feel or even comment about anything extraordinary that just happened. Methinks if "God" forgives all my sins and makes me perfect, I would notice that. Just a hunch there.

  • @everybodywalkthedino love it XD

  • wow..for a god that condemns homosexuality his name sure a fuck is pretty close to yaoi ;] HA! :P

no but seriously -.- read the bible people..maybe then ud understand why were atheists. and if that still isnt enough...you're pretty sick minded to think you're the good ones...a god who wants people to be dead for having consensual love? (incest and homosexuality) and a god who orders genocides etc...i pity you -.-

i can honestly say im worried for you people.

  • "...in spite of it, not because of it..."

    - a fundamental truth about reilgion generally.

  • It's really scary to know theres still people so deeply stuck into religion... you guys are doing an awesome job educating people

  • The bible is a nasty group of poorly written books....This god is one sick fuck!

  • @parkert51

a collection of somewhat poetic books, somewhat lousy ones and a bunch of others then never made the final draft. read the gospel of Judas or the infancy gospel of Thomas.

  • The bible is a nasty group of poorly written books....

  • Guess he chose to forget that other bible story where some other guy was told to murder the first person he saw when he got home so he had to murder his own daughter

  • third part of this was great, you guys really got on a roll proving god, if real, is a ruthless despot.

and i think it all centers around the idea that religion forbids anyone to question it's authority, lest it be a path to eternal pain and misery if you do. that is the first sign that you are being had.

  • I'm an atheist, but I believe that Lucifer is more plausible than God, and IF they both exist, it's nearly impossible that God is the good one, because of what he's theoretically done.

  • The Bible: The most successful fiction novel in America.

  • PLEASE, IT'S REALLY, REALLY, SIMPLE!

Morality is not difficult at all

It's all about our definition of the word "good". "Good" is the word that describes something we want, and something that we are not avoiding. "Bad" is something that we are trying to avoid and have as little as possible of.

Do to others what they are trying to obtain and not avoiding because they "want" it. And help them avoid what they want to avoid, "bad" stuff. That's morality, it all lies in our own heads!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • So far this is my favorite episode of the AE, thank the universe for giving us reason to think for ourselves. I am happy not to waste anymore time in mythical beliefs that were created by a bunch of bronze age savages. You guys can count one more atheist to your club out here in Salinas, California. Keep up he good work Mr. Matt

  • There's nothing better to mess up someone's mind than religion.

Well, okay...maybe large quantities of hard drugs or the bite of a black widow can do that too lol

  • @metz3962

to get the same level fucked up in the head, you need both at the same time, twice a day.

  • I only have to say one thing: this is a good sign for all of you Atheist youtubers. Pick up a Bible, read it, and be openminded.

But don't do it for you. Not for John here.

And certainly don't do it for a Religion.

Do it so you can point these awful, immoral readings out to Christians who don't read it.
