He wouldn't even bite on a chew toy if you had it in your hand in fear of hitting you, and If he did take something from your hand, the second you said "Ouch" he let go and laid down in front of you as to apologize, BAD DOGS ARE ONLY MADE BY BAD PEOPLE, Nice loving people make nice loving dogs.
i'll say this : i would let my German Shepherd watch my baby before i'd let some people i know! the so called " big bad ones" and everyone knows which ones i speak of, are the best with children. my boy was glued to my baby when i brought her home from the hospital. they're brother & sister. i dont have to worry about anyone snatching my babygirl, they have to get though him first. nuff said! cute video btw :)

@Foxrider1977 True story. Some breeds have a natural, genetic disposition towards being mean, but they will be vicious only if the owner trains them to be. I worked for a vet for about 3 years, and I can't tell you how many pit bulls, rotweilers, bulldogs, etc. that would play like this with their owner's baby. It's all in the training.

I had a rottweiler in high school. Kane was his name. He was a true gentle giant and easily the best dog I've ever owned. I'd highly recommend them to any prospective owner.

This is so cute, and the dog is so gentle. But i would never let any dog even the kindest dog near my baby they can snap at anytime, because they are animals and thats what they do they are preditors, and the dog licks anything and everything and licking the babies hands and he is gonna stick them in his mouth? huh? So true. My family adopted a dog and the shelter didn't even know his breed. They just said hound mix...we think that he's part Rottweiler. Well, from the very first night he was with us, he slept in my bed. I could stick my hand in his mouth, open it up, try to irritate him...nothing provoked an aggressive response from him. He just had a whole lot of goodness in him (unfortunately we could see his rib-cage). Well, 1 year later he's 25 pounds heavier & he's happy.

Psh, it's all about how you raise a dog, Rottweilers get such a bad rep. Rottweilers can be one of the best family dogs. My brother's Rottweiler is just a giant teddy bear and just wants to love on people all the time; when my nephew was an infant, she'd go over and sit in front of his crib protectively if someone left his side. She was and is very gentle with him and everyone else. Rotties <3
@MrPierre1210 It's not good to leave a dog and an infant ALONE. Obviously, they were not alone. While I trust MY dogs completely, I'd STILL never leave an infant or young child alone with them.
I grew up with a dog, it had a bad back so it was sensitive to stuff, like tail pulling, many a time I got nipped at as a kid.. aaaah the learning experiences of being a kid.. something that some dogs sadly don't live too long from now days..

I always found it cool that most domesticated dogs just KNOW that the little pink thing giggling its ass off in front of them is a very fragile thing that needs to be protected and cared for. We had a shepard that we called my little sisters twin. Protected her and stuck by her side until the day she passedway. The dog was her protector. The whole family was bummed out by her passing but my sister the most.
I love it how babies love dogs and cats because it's finally something different than a human! They love animals, no matter what it is.

@MrPierre1210 It's not good to leave a dog and an infant ALONE. Obviously, they were not alone. While I trust MY dogs completely, I'd STILL never leave an infant or young child alone with them.

I grew up with a dog, it had a bad back so it was sensitive to stuff, like tail pulling, many a time I got nipped at as a kid.. aaaah the learning experiences of being a kid.. something that some dogs sadly don't live too long from now days..

I always found it cool that most domesticated dogs just KNOW that the little pink thing giggling its ass off in front of them is a very fragile thing that needs to be protected and cared for. We had a shepard that we called my little sisters twin. Protected her and stuck by her side until the day she passedway. The dog was her protector. The whole family was bummed out by her passing but my sister the most.
