Yes, I agree, we all are collectively responsible for this. However, BP ignored huge red flags concerning the safety of this well. For five days before the explosion, they knew something was seriously wrong with the well, but they drilled anyway....I hope you've read some of the memoes released in the news and in Congress. So for that, BP is alone responsible for this accident...it's equivalent to driving a car knowing you don't have any brakes to stop an accident.
