@G1S1W the World Wild-life Fund bought the rights to the WWF name because the WWF/E company wanted to settle out of court so they sold the rights to the name to them and changed to WWE. Vince didn't pick wrestlers he wanted for the Invasion angle he just got the ones he was able to get at the time of the purchase. He had to wait for some of these guys Time Warner contracts to end because Goldberg, Hogan, Nash and Hall decided to wait until their contract ended.

From being let go by the company, choosing to leave on their own, problem with McMahon the list goes on. WWF is the WWE. World Wildlife Fund bought the rights to the WWF name so the company changed itself to WWE. Type correctly and check your facts before speaking.
