Sensation camera can look and sound good but you have to do some tweaks. First you need to root and install a Sense 3.5 Rom. That completely fixes the stereo recording high microphone clipping problem. I use Bulletproof Rom. Next up is to change the bitrate of video recording for 720p and 1080p to be 20meg. This is done in the file media_profiles.xml. Also in this file you can change the jpeg compression to 100% - so there is no compression in photos. Great camera!

Apple 4 has a 5 megapixel camera where as HTC Sensation XL has 8 megapixel camera!!! That is the reason the result of iphone 4 is looking dull. I think we should compare HTC sensation XL with Iphone 4S, which is having 8 megapixel camera.

the sensation has better image colors but totally sucks at its fps, the image quality is lest stable and goes all over the screen when recording, the iphone's colors suck but the image is more stabalized, i prefer to have a stabalized image because i won't miss out on a single thing when i play back and the sensation will have blurry frames here and there. even though the color quality sucks on the iphone i could later saturize it and make a good video.

i hate apple by the way but it wins here

@emie204 There is no difference between Sensation and Sensation XE when it comes to camera. However Sensation XL only records up to 720p.

This is pretty unfair too. iPhone 4 = 720p, HTC Sensation = 1080p

Maybe compare iPhone 4S to HTC Sensation?

Iphone is definitely oersaturated (too much colour) which you can see in the Flowers and Ties photos. It also has too much contracts which you can see in the sky colours of the video demo - there is hardly and 'blue' sky. HTC handles colour saturation and aperture much better.

Well we already know that HTC changes natural colours.. but on the other hand pictures looks better that way, more lively, and still u can get your saturation DOWN if u wanna natural colors..

one thing... dont get SGS II for photos. <--- PINK SPOT is killing the fun at every picture. get htc if u're not a hardcore mobile gamer, and iphone if u're... if u like apples ;p

HTC is a great phone for Tmobile customers and I would buy it. But I'm not changing providers for it when I have the iPhone. You are comparing the latest and greatest HTC with Apples yesterday's news and there is barely any similarities. Apple is clearly well over 2 years ahead of everyone in the cell technology sector. IP5 is gonna set new standards. Sensation is still a good buy though.

I have the IP4 and my best friend just picked up the Sensation. Man does it look good! I would def recommend it even though I'm not an Android fan. I will say this though, I have an Otterbox on my IP4 and people say it's too big. Well if you are one of those people the. Don't get the Sensation. It's MUCH bigger and then add a phone protector on it...it's massive. the HTC camera has a major flaw in it...it transitions too slow from light to dark...and it shows every time you aim at the clouds then the ground...The picture washes out...the iphone 4 doesn't do that.

For video quality HTC wins in well-lit condition. In low light HTC still has the "red-centre" problem and the quality isn't as sharp as Iphone. Iphone still wins on photos.
