  • I never played X-Com, but this level sure looks great, espcially they put new kind of grenades and new type of weaponry.

  • Pretty cool X-Com enemies. Though I always picture some farmhouse at night when I think of X-Com heh. Wasn't as big a fan of terror of the deep.

  • @cdjblue Hehe don't generalize, this one is very long indeed!, but the great majority of the levels got an average length, many are small and only a few are long.

    It is a somewhat long level, but there are alternate paths through the big main rooms, and while not shown on video, I did backtrack a couple of times in order to show off parts of the different routes, so it might look a little longer than it actually is.

    Also, the fact that you have to play cautiously to avoid getting killed tends to make it take longer to go through.

  • @LarsLuron True. I did wonder about the fades in video. Well, with that in mind, I'd say it is of reasonable length, heh.

  • Wow. As an XCOM fan, I noticed alot of creatures spanning the entire series. I'd love to see a Cydonia level..as well as the Chrysalid as a boss battle (Zombifying people and then sending them after you as lesser chrysalids!) But anyway, it looks very well done and is a great tribute to a pretty cool series of games.

    Shouldn't the Sectoids be Aquatoids though? With fins and all that.

    HL1 leeches are cool and appropriate too. X Race should probably shoot an inaccurate burst of lightning bug shots, to stand out from the crowd (and be less dull, straight shots just force you to wait).

    How come one of the Geoscape themes is used instead of the Battlescape one when switching to the UFO level?

    The Cyberdisc blowing up the floor was awesome.

    So was Race X blowing itself up underwater!

    Hum,I'm not sure if that's good or bad.On one side,it makes him a bit less of an "all-situations" option,but it also makes him a bit less enjoyable.

    Do Luigi will be affected too ?

    I'm assuming you're referring to the part at 1:49.

    Those particular projectiles are designed specifically to stun the player like that. You'll notice it never happens again whenever Mario is hit by anything else.
