  • @goktugvs The g sounds more like a "j" in english, and the j sounds more like a "g" in english.

  • @goktugvs Take the english letters "g" and "j". Remove the sound [d], reverse them, and you'll have the french equivalents.

  • @sweetblossom007 u really don't hear the difference? anyway G is like "jeh" and J is "jih" and both have this weird "jsh" sound instead of just the j like in jet it's more like "jsheh" and "jshih"... it must look really wrong right now, but i promise when u sound it out, it makes sense

  • @sweetblossom007 or simply put, j sounds like how "g" is pronounced in English and vice versa. ( g sounds like how j is pronounced in english " listen carefully :) and don't give up!

  • @ddonche0108 it doesn't sound alike. G is like in "je" and J is like in "Chine". i dont know if that sounds reasonable to u but there is a difference.

    maybe G sound like 'zh' and J sound like 'sh'

  • @ddonche0108: the initial sound in both is pronounced the same as in the -ge sound in "massage" but the G sound is pronounced: jeh (open e sound) as in "bed" whereas J is pronounced jee - long e as in bee

  • This is wrong actually G=J and J=G in the french alphabet. Or are there multiple ways to say the alphabet in french?
