I'd freak out if I was in a dark city alley at night and bumped into him, i mean, who wouldn't be? With his gun, his creepy joker smile and the thing he said about the devil in a real creepy voice anybody would freak out! Jack Napier is totally my fave batman character. :D
God they shouldnt have made the joker kill Batman's parents. Not because its unfaithful to the comics, but it completley ruins the significance of their rivalry. Its order vs chaos personified. Also its a MASSIVE coincidence that the city's new homicidal clown just so happens to be the wayne merderer... It would make more sense for his parents to hav been killed by a random thug so Bruce would wage war on ALL criminals instead of one
I always wondered if "Let's go Jack!" was a young Bob or Bob's predecessor. I can imagine being Jack Napier's right-hand man would be a dangerous career.
The only thing I liked about the Schumacher Batman movies was Batman remembering each of his villains as the man who killed his parents, that kinda psychotic constantly searching, always looking for revenge thing.
A lot of people seem to think the 2nd mugger is Joe Chill. I don't think so. It seems they intended him to be a young "Bob the goon". He does say "Let's go Jack!" which mirrors the earlier scene at Axis Chemicals where he also shouts "C'mon Jack let's go!". Besides he was always Jack's right hand man. Hugo Blick I remember used to narrate a comedy series screened here in Britain some years back that was similar to The Office and his voice sounds nothing like this lol
@SHhol123 maybe but in the comics Chill was scared and run, Bob isn't nervous than Chill. Im sure the 2 mugger is Chill because was nervous after of the crime and runs.
I kind of get the contreversey over this, but I'll be honest. For years I actually thought that Joker was the killer of Bruce's parents in the comics, because I never heard the name Joe Chill until years later. Mind you I first watched this when I was really young and didn't get into the comics yet and only watched the movies and shows at that point.
But even after learning the truth I love that they added this twist into it. It just adds an extra layer of depth to their relationship.
@SLPIFan For a while in the Batman comics, Bruce would have nightmares about his parents' death where whoever the current villain he was fighting at the time would be his parents' killer. After a while he began to doubt whether he remembered the truth anymore, and came to realize that in the grand scheme of things the "truth" didn't matter, since it wasn't about personal revenge for him anymore anyway.
Bob Kane actually said that if he were to restart the comics, he WOULD HAVE had the Joker be the killer of Batman's parents. So he really liked Burton's twist.

That smile is absolutely sadistic; Hugo Blick really could have passed for the Joker himself.

@wolfmanjacksaid It was a young Bob, and it was a dangerous career. Joker used his old pal as a bullet sponge for frustration.

@turquoiseskull
He didn't imagine any of the villains as his parents' murder in either Schumacher film.
And personally FOREVER is a good movie guilty by association with its successor.

@SHhol123 maybe but the great difference is Bob is not nervous like Chill. In this film the Other Mugger runs like Chill after the killing of Waynes.

Scary/Evil face he had... I prefer this version of how Batman parents died than the Dark Knight's. Besides, this was creepier.
