Think that the ford having more traction and holding the brake till dmax lost trction explains this. i like all american diesels they all pull good but as far as hauling alot of weight up hill u wont beat a duramax, tug of war is not in any way the test of truck strength, all this proves is better traction, u could take a half ton and drag a 3/4 ton if the traction is right ive seen it happen. but both good trucks!
The ford is higher up, so the rope was pulling the chevy up, while pulling the ford down and giving it more traction. Plus it's heavier. These things rarely ever have anything to do with the make, just circumstance.
@dieslelover31 the only diffrence iv ever heard in a 3/4 ton and 1 ton ford is heavier leaf springs. somebody tell me if theres more im almost sure thats it if anything so thats a piss poor excuse
Oh wow the sorry ass ford has better tires. how bout load about 5000 lbs and take off from a dig and just like always ford looses! proven fact i have two Dmaxs and ive yet to be beat stock to stock!
@70camaroify hay im a tax payer tell GM i want my money back lol at least ford didnt take the bailout ( WELLFARE ) like dodge and GM lmfao i pay about 2,300.00 a month for my 2 2011 f350 king ranck 4x4s because ford dont pussy out like dodge and GM so im glad to own my ford even my 1969 F100 with a 428cj with 800+ hp get a job OH wait GM an't hiring lol
@70camaroify you are honestly retarded, the bigger tires on the ford give it less mechanical advantage aka its harder for him than it is for the chevy with the smaller tires. its simple gearing bro think before you rant.
c de la marde le ford est plus haut donc se fait tirer le cul vers le bas donc plus de traction pis le gm lui se fais titer le cul vers le haut y perd toute sa traction c pas equitable
@bigdipperwes Im glad you asked. First of all GMC is a division of the GENERAL MOTORS company otherwise known as GM (as well as chevy and various other names). And seeing how GM had to be bailed out by the government to keep it from going under, the joke of Government Motors was born (get it? GM?). Its called an acronym, but I doubt that you know what that is either.
Stock versus stock, there would be no contest. There are to many variables that could be determining the outcome of this vid. Tire size for one. The Ford has a much larger amount of rubber to the road. What mods do they have? Look at the strap angle. In the hierarchy of diesels, anybody who knows their motors, knows that Cummins is King. Followed by Duramax and then Powerstroke. Do your homework kids.
@hottboy96 the egr is not benefital in any to the engine, it makes it run hotter, less efficent, less power, the intake gets dirtyer, and above all a agr cooler failer can lead to a hydro locked engine...
The strap slanting upwards toward the Ford takes some of the weight from the rear axle of the Chevy. It's mostly about weight and traction when the horsepower is comparable.
Still funny how ford can't make a engine that can't make the f750 go so they sign a contract with dodge for the cummins lol so fords a piece of shit their u go can't make a good engine
Have people not learned yet a Pull or tug of war like this is all based on the weight of the truck and the traction. if one truck has a 572 BBC in it (single cab short wheel base) with almost slick tires vs a 350 chevy ext cab lwb with new tires guess whos gonna win. the 350 chevy. these tugs show nothing of power. Its all about weight and traction.
There is just too many variables in a truck tug of war to say that one truck is better than another, tire compound, sprung and unsprung weight, torque, height of attachment point, weight distribution, etc...
duramax- you might be faster, and you might break down more then others, but youl never be stronger and most deffenatly never pull us. we'll be pullin you ;)
@Looseredge is a faggot. Ofcourse you can make a million reasons why the chevy should have won. How about all the people that own Chevys bought them cause their retarded and don't know how to take care of Thier truck
Chevy diesels are made by isuzu and there's nothing more fucking queer than a fucking asain making diesels for America that's why it lost cause America(ford) never loses. An ur supporting china you faggots
@Jockdoc9 you just failed hard sir. GM owns the rights to the Duramax engine, and have been making them for a while now, Ford just recently got the rights to Powerstroke from International, the y still have to prove their new engine pal. Oh, and Isuzu isn't a Chinese company...faggot. You're the reason everyone hates Americans asshole.
wow you're all idiots!!! the ford had a bigger turbo, bigger tires, and had a leverage advantage, because of the angle of the strap!! Get two stock trucks one chevy one ford, tie the rope level, put some weight in the chevy so it weighs the same and it will out pull the ford! And for all the Inbred morons out there that are saying "yeah them fords is better cuz they weighs more" you're wrong!!! sloppy engineering is the only reason they weigh more! Chevrolet, like a rock!!
I'm not even going to read the comments. I KNOW some of you chevy fans will say "Unfair, the Ford has the advantage!" Just because it's a 1 ton vs 3/4 ton. Hear me out... the engines, transmissions, and axles are the same on 3/4 ton and 1 ton trucks. Even the weight is close. The only difference is, is the springs. A Ford F-250 will still out pull, out last, out run, and out haul a chevy 3500.
@Anagonwolf it also depends on the year because ford was making 7.3 motors till 03. those 7.3 were way stronger then these motors now days. so that could be an advantage to the ford. there both great trucks. but i still think this was a unfair pull.
@chevy383strkr straight up the 7.3 is a way better motor at pulling weight than the 6.7l they got now. they just made that motor to get up in the same hp range as gm. and duramax sounds like its runnin rough and it cut out.. probably fueling issues which makes performance lack alot!
@ThePencilShredder Very good, so I am assuming your mom's car pulls semi trucks out of snow banks, ambulances through two feet of snow to save a life, and haul a 14,000 lb plus trailer at least 300,000 miles per year with no problem? Oh wait, it must do more than that since you said it could "outpull" a Ford truck. P.S. you basically proved the point I was trying to make being that BRAND is the main difference, not the fact that it was a 1-ton vs 3/4 ton.
@ThePencilShredder Also, as amusing as all this arguing is, in the end, it does not matter one bit what I say or what you say. We will not change our opinions. All that matters is that we are proud of our brand and we feel joy everytime we start our engines. I choose Ford because I believe they are the better truck for my needs, and so many times against all odds and physics, my truck has saved my life and many many other lives. I apologize for being snippy in my previous response.
@Anagonwolf lol i apologize to. i was in a bad mood. and yes ur right. chevy is in my blood and ford is in urs. i love my chevy and u love ur ford. it doesn't really matter what we drive as long as it is american! cheers man!
No its not...Axle ratio is different, and the trucks are heavier... Not to mention that the Ford was about 18" higher where the Strap was hooked causing it to pull up on the rear of the chevy Thus less traction for the Chevy, I've never been a pull-off guy becuase there are so many different variables involved. Tires, axle ratio, where the straps are hooked, and mostly, who actually knows what they are doing, Just wait for the other guy to break the tires loose.....its rather simple.
....just look here on you tube....seriously...there are fords beating dodges, and dodges beating fords, chevy's beating fords, ford beating chevy's, and every other combo... Pull offs or Tug a Wars mean ABSOLUTELY NOTHING..... so if youre basing which truck is better off of a Tug-a-War you are a moron....
man i really liked fords until two of our trucks started making a ticking noise from the motor and noone seems to know what they are...say that it just happens
@williamskyle03 thats not true tundras are real low to the ground giving it better center of gravity being able to pull better.. the fact is in this video its f350 those things are beast and the chevy as you can see is a little old and probably was having engine problems
@JD3403 No, you obviously don't understand the basics of physics and motion and are make yourself look like a dumbass. When a taller truck pulls against a lower truck, it pulls at an upward angle instead of no angle. When that happens the lower truck loses traction and therefore is at a disadvantage.
I would like to see the same pull off with the ford on tires that were equal to chevy's. Theres a pretty big traction advantage, kinda like running a 10.5 wide vs 15.50 in a heads up door slammer. This was over before the brands were even named.
idk why yall are arguing about the difference between and f250 and an f350, only difference is the 350 has slightly more heavy duty suspension, and the option of dual rear wheels
@lancem943 look here helen keller scince you cant see nor hear worth a fuck lets hook that f350 up to a chevy 3500 an see what happens if that f350 is actually struggling with a 2500 i would hate to see what would happen with a 3500
you do realize that there is almost no difference between a 250 and a 350? the only difference I can think of is that the 350 comes with a dual wheel feature which the truck in the video doesn't have. Plus didn't seem to me like the Ford struggled at all.
@strickKingJoe actually thats false my brother has a 03 f350 powerstroke 2wd and he pulled a Dodge cummins 4x4 lifted. So the lift has nothing to do with it.
Thats awesome you got any mods on it? Yeah, I think all models of ford superduty are great except for the models with the 6.0 turbodiesel. Get q lot of those in the shop. Same thing with the new rams. Horrible truck if you ask me
@trips2uranus You have to be the biggest fucktard I've EVER met. 350's have different springs in the back to increase payload. They hard more stiff, so technically the Chevy had the advantage, it's just a piece of shit compared to the 7.3.
@FordToughDiesel now you have shown how uneducated you are and how little knowledge about trucks. Then again your probably some 17 year old who just got his first truck 2001 ford 7.3 "International". You should research shit before you spout off your dick sucker to keep from looking like a complete fucking moron..
Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR)
The GVWR of the 2500 is 8,650 pounds to 9,000 pounds. The GVWR of the 3500 is 10,100 pounds to 12,200 pounds.
@FordToughDiesel like i said, complete fucking moron It would take you 30 mins to type that half of a paragraph ..Because you have a 6th grade education. Besides that.... That was copied and pasted off of there web site.. So you fail once again. "fucktard"? go back to school son
@trips2uranus You know nothing about trucks? I can't believe you're talking shit on a video where the duramax got it's ass kicked by a good ole 7.3. The piece of shit cut off? chevy has NOTHING going for them... except a bailout, because no one wants to buy their shit trucks! And thanks for your contribution to YouTube with the 2 videos and a GRAND total of 350 views.. one of which you're getting your ass kicked in a race, you passed him when he let off? And it's their, not there. Fucktard.
@trips2uranus No, you just suck at racing and duramax is the worst diesel made. I'm a Ford guy, but even I'll admit the cummins is a great engine. Beats the hell out of duramax.. just leave, kid.
From the interior design, trim, model, and all other options. Not all people want top of the line trim. Not all people want 4x4. Not all people need seating for a family when he/she doesn't have a spouse or children.
And for the kids fighting about costs of trucks, who cares if ford is more expensive than chevy or dodge. If anything, I would want to pay less for a truck. Dodge hd trucks start at 27,400, GM hd trucks at 28,415, and ford superduty starts at 28,505....ooh, same price area. And the extra costs come fro
I was talking about my uncles, he has a 2006 with the 6.0L powerstroke, sorry for not being specific. But I do love the 7.3, I actually haul me and my dads mud trucks with his 2000 f250....in my opinion, if ford wouldve kept Thant and built off of it, it would've been the best diesel engine today
@GAredneck389 i agree my dad has a 02 7.3 and still runs awesome just a minor oil leak by the high pressure oil pump but thats all it makes over 550HP and 1000torque
Seeing how a top of the line Ford Super Duty runs a good couple grand more than a top of the line Dodge, (ha, top of the line Dodge) I see your previous statement to be false.
Cummins beats all, any of you strokers bring your Pieces of Shit to Texas and I'll drag your pathetic dick loving Ford all over the state. Fuck you, fuck your powerstroke piece of shit and get a real mans truck, 2007 Mega Cab Cummins. Oh wait..... You can't afford that, I'm feel sorry for you poor bastards
@4ord4life yeah they cant compete with faggots, duramaxes arent powerstrokers...haha get it...your ford likes to powerstroke dick haha...gotta love all trucks, but seriously, if you dont like chevys, come up with some better names to diss them before you try to. durabitchs? duraturds? yea im sorry but those make no sense
Put the 3500HD duramax against that ford POS and then see whos still laughing. Powerstroke is the shittiest diesel engine ever made. Duramax and Cummins all day bitches.
@rockneverdie1994 its actually powerstroke and cummins all the way. chevy and there good heavy duty front suspension. im suprised that guys front tires didnt break off.
@getajobobama I love all trucks, but seriously, i've yet to pull a gooseneck with a caterpillar 953c on it with a ford powerstroke. I have done it with a cummins and a duramax, but i did it with my uncles f350 dually and i snapped the front drivetrain.
@GAredneck389 maybe ur uncles ford just has problems. i out tow anyone in my town with my 7.3. and the ford 7.3 engine is 5th on the bestdiesel engine made and cimmins is like tenth and idk what durmax is
I love seeing comments saying, you cant compare a 350 to a 2500. There really isnt a difference between the 250 and 350 besides the 350 is a dually. Ill take my 250 and snatch the back axle out of the damn duramax.
@MrHomelessSanta the only difference is the suspention. ive done the same thing with my 2007 f350 stock vs my buddies 2008 3500 with a chip and i still won so what does that tell you
this really isnt fair for the chevy. the chevy has to pull me weight then the ford does. if you brought out a 3500 chevy i bet the chevy would smoke that powerjoke
Chev sucks balls ford ftw btw tug of wars really prove nothing but traction but the chev doesn't stand a chance. Against a ford .. If you wanna compare apples to apples let's put the chev up against a dodge
intotheblue92 this is stupid f350 vs 2500 how about compering apples to apples ford f350 vs 3500 chevy and will see if ford really is built tough ford sucks
im not a chevy fan boy by any means but the height of the ford comes to an advantage because it pulls the chevys rear wheels up so it doesn't hook up as good nice video though
@bisquik3006 hahaha. no shitting man. its funny how most chevy guys are too either oblivious or naive to realize that... "its just a joint-venture" fuck that its a joint hand job run by isuzu
@billyboy00999 i cant see the tread, but you do realize if the chevys tires were less aggressive, he would have an advantage... but if you were to argue that hookin chains isnt a tester of the better truck, i would say you right.. but now that doesnt explain why the isuzu shut off lolz :D sorry bud
Uh... dude... dont talk shit if you don't know shit yourself... The F-250 and F-350 have the same engine just different gears (if a dually) and different leaf springs (1 ton). I own a 2006 F-250 and an 2005 Duramax.

Pull offs or Tug a Wars mean ABSOLUTELY NOTHING..... so if youre basing which truck is better off of a Tug-a-War you are a moron....
052500hd 2 months ago
@Anagonwolf idiot forgot the weight of each.
coahuayana12 1 month ago
@Anagonwolf Actually the F-250 is 1 ton, the F-350 is 2 tons

Again, older Ford v. Newer Chevy...... And Ford comes out on top.

1ton superduty bull shit vs k2500 chevy, put up quite a fight. impressive
MrDbzrapman 6 months ago
man i really liked fords until two of our trucks started making a ticking noise from the motor and noone seems to know what they are...say that it just happens
dumbluck0629 6 months ago
The ford's only advantage was it's height, making the chevy lose traction. Pulling is retarded anyways
williamskyle03 6 months ago
@williamskyle03 thats not true tundras are real low to the ground giving it better center of gravity being able to pull better.. the fact is in this video its f350 those things are beast and the chevy as you can see is a little old and probably was having engine problems
JD3403 6 months ago
@JD3403 No, you obviously don't understand the basics of physics and motion and are make yourself look like a dumbass. When a taller truck pulls against a lower truck, it pulls at an upward angle instead of no angle. When that happens the lower truck loses traction and therefore is at a disadvantage.
williamskyle03 6 months ago
@2290Sean i thought duramax was so awsome it could out pull any thing. No ford gust rock but heres wat i like. Ill be strokin dura cummin
Trebuer22 6 months ago
@Trebuer22 what? wtf lol
boobies1989 6 months ago
I would like to see the same pull off with the ford on tires that were equal to chevy's. Theres a pretty big traction advantage, kinda like running a 10.5 wide vs 15.50 in a heads up door slammer. This was over before the brands were even named.

I LOVE THE NEW 6.7 POWER STROKE!!

Go to a real truck pull and the words never won with a sled in tow
chuckerfarm87 6 months ago
Of course the 350 is going to win against the 2500 cuz the there is a big diff in torque and wieght this is not fair to say that ford is better
2290Sean 6 months ago
This is a gasoline truck vs a diesel wow you guys are fucking cool try pulling another diesel around.
suedepolo 6 months ago
@suedepolo um what? it was a duramax diesel right? versus idk a powerstroke diesel mmmm....... wheres the gasoline truck at?
dgruscak 6 months ago
idk why yall are arguing about the difference between and f250 and an f350, only difference is the 350 has slightly more heavy duty suspension, and the option of dual rear wheels
jamhead021 6 months ago
this is fuckin stupid F350!!??? really? and it struggles with the 2500??? FAIL chevy all the way hahahaha
Donmud 7 months ago
@Donmud he dosent struggle onley one struggling is the chevy
lancem943 6 months ago
@lancem943 look here helen keller scince you cant see nor hear worth a fuck lets hook that f350 up to a chevy 3500 an see what happens if that f350 is actually struggling with a 2500 i would hate to see what would happen with a 3500
Donmud 6 months ago
@Donmud
you do realize that there is almost no difference between a 250 and a 350? the only difference I can think of is that the 350 comes with a dual wheel feature which the truck in the video doesn't have. Plus didn't seem to me like the Ford struggled at all.
MuskratandRatman 6 months ago
@MuskratandRatman theres a difference 2500 can come in a gas engine, an some of the drivetrains are bigger an in some cases even the frame
Donmud 6 months ago
@strickKingJoe actually thats false my brother has a 03 f350 powerstroke 2wd and he pulled a Dodge cummins 4x4 lifted. So the lift has nothing to do with it.
RAULORTIZ18 7 months ago
Besides you are aware of traction. That lift on the ford lifts up the duramax therefore losses traction.
StrickKingJoe 7 months ago
Hey take pride in american trucks. I be Stroken Dura Cummin. Makes hell of a three some. American trucks i salute you.

GeoThundra 7 months ago
Thats awesome you got any mods on it? Yeah, I think all models of ford superduty are great except for the models with the 6.0 turbodiesel. Get q lot of those in the shop. Same thing with the new rams. Horrible truck if you ask me

@nm9730. Negative.. heavier axles, frame and so on. I have a chevy 3500 and a Chevy 2500 and there's a sizable difference in weight

well the fords the one taking the up hill drive so its pretty even at the start ford is just better no questions asked
Danny09748 8 months ago
fords bigger
rcdude34 8 months ago
F350 1ton 2500 3/4 ton mmmm. Lets do the math. Throw a pallet of bricks in the back of the Chevy and do it again
trips2uranus 8 months ago
@trips2uranus u do know the only difference between a 3/4 ton and 1 ton is suspension right?
nm9730 7 months ago
@trips2uranus agreed!
WillDaBeast696969 7 months ago
@trips2uranus You have to be the biggest fucktard I've EVER met. 350's have different springs in the back to increase payload. They hard more stiff, so technically the Chevy had the advantage, it's just a piece of shit compared to the 7.3.
FordToughDiesel 6 months ago
@FordToughDiesel now you have shown how uneducated you are and how little knowledge about trucks. Then again your probably some 17 year old who just got his first truck 2001 ford 7.3 "International". You should research shit before you spout off your dick sucker to keep from looking like a complete fucking moron..
Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR)
The GVWR of the 2500 is 8,650 pounds to 9,000 pounds. The GVWR of the 3500 is 10,100 pounds to 12,200 pounds.
trips2uranus 6 months ago
@trips2uranus With a fucking dually you ignorant moron? Yeah way to waste 30 mins of your life typing that...
FordToughDiesel 6 months ago
@FordToughDiesel like i said, complete fucking moron It would take you 30 mins to type that half of a paragraph ..Because you have a 6th grade education. Besides that.... That was copied and pasted off of there web site.. So you fail once again. "fucktard"? go back to school son
trips2uranus 6 months ago
@trips2uranus You know nothing about trucks? I can't believe you're talking shit on a video where the duramax got it's ass kicked by a good ole 7.3. The piece of shit cut off? chevy has NOTHING going for them... except a bailout, because no one wants to buy their shit trucks! And thanks for your contribution to YouTube with the 2 videos and a GRAND total of 350 views.. one of which you're getting your ass kicked in a race, you passed him when he let off? And it's their, not there. Fucktard.
FordToughDiesel 6 months ago
@FordToughDiesel a little off subject huh?
trips2uranus 6 months ago
@trips2uranus No, you just suck at racing and duramax is the worst diesel made. I'm a Ford guy, but even I'll admit the cummins is a great engine. Beats the hell out of duramax.. just leave, kid.
FordToughDiesel 6 months ago
@trips2uranus I have a 1999 f350 crew cab long bed 4x4 with 37" tires and it weighs 8700 lbs, I weigh it every day when I go to the dump.

From the interior design, trim, model, and all other options. Not all people want top of the line trim. Not all people want 4x4. Not all people need seating for a family when he/she doesn't have a spouse or children.
GAredneck389 8 months ago
And for the kids fighting about costs of trucks, who cares if ford is more expensive than chevy or dodge. If anything, I would want to pay less for a truck. Dodge hd trucks start at 27,400, GM hd trucks at 28,415, and ford superduty starts at 28,505....ooh, same price area. And the extra costs come fro
GAredneck389 8 months ago
I was talking about my uncles, he has a 2006 with the 6.0L powerstroke, sorry for not being specific. But I do love the 7.3, I actually haul me and my dads mud trucks with his 2000 f250....in my opinion, if ford wouldve kept Thant and built off of it, it would've been the best diesel engine today
GAredneck389 8 months ago
@GAredneck389 i agree my dad has a 02 7.3 and still runs awesome just a minor oil leak by the high pressure oil pump but thats all it makes over 550HP and 1000torque
Cowboy2792 7 months ago
@rockneverdie1994
Seeing how a top of the line Ford Super Duty runs a good couple grand more than a top of the line Dodge, (ha, top of the line Dodge) I see your previous statement to be false.

GAredneck389 9 months ago
Put the 3500HD duramax against that ford POS and then see whos still laughing. Powerstroke is the shittiest diesel engine ever made. Duramax and Cummins all day bitches.
rockneverdie1994 9 months ago
@rockneverdie1994 its actually powerstroke and cummins all the way. chevy and there good heavy duty front suspension. im suprised that guys front tires didnt break off.
getajobobama 9 months ago
@getajobobama I love all trucks, but seriously, i've yet to pull a gooseneck with a caterpillar 953c on it with a ford powerstroke. I have done it with a cummins and a duramax, but i did it with my uncles f350 dually and i snapped the front drivetrain.
GAredneck389 9 months ago
@GAredneck389 maybe ur uncles ford just has problems. i out tow anyone in my town with my 7.3. and the ford 7.3 engine is 5th on the bestdiesel engine made and cimmins is like tenth and idk what durmax is

I love seeing comments saying, you cant compare a 350 to a 2500. There really isnt a difference between the 250 and 350 besides the 350 is a dually. Ill take my 250 and snatch the back axle out of the damn duramax.
