In case you didn't know, number of cylinders doesn't really matter. All that means is that he's splitting the power between more pistons and the engine will be a bit more reliable at higher power depending on block thickness and other variables.

@nomnomdk - It detects when an officer is using his laser/radar gun. (the thing they hold out their window to measure your speed). They don't have to be aiming rite at you either. The radar waves "bounce" off vehicles and other objects and my detector picks that up and lets me know. It will give me a good 1/4 to half mile warning at times. If police are using other means of speed measuring like a stopwatch or whatnot, this will not help. - - - Drive safe :-)
@racing0eagle who cares, its still just a s2k. Also the you would need close to 500hp to smoke the R8. For the drivetrain of economy car like the s2k to handle that kind of power it would need major upgrades. After all of that, its still just a s2k...not worth it.

A 21yr old w an s2000 is doing well also and probably has no problem getting girls. Back in 2000 when I was 16 I bought a plymouth laser turbo and it was pretty quick and got girls. @cante199 - I got mine for even less than 15k. Its an amazing car for the price, and if you turbo them, they are nearly unstoppable on the road. Its just you gotta get all that power to the road haha. Wider wheels, and better tires. I have AP2V1 wheels on mine, with Bridgestone Potenza S-04 tires all around. In the hot summer weather....those tires are amazing.
@bane762 i want put 17" ap2 wheels on mine..i've 16 and i hate them..really ugly :-\ i've pirelli pzero nero and work good.. need 17 ap2 rims and greddy turbokit heheh.. without open the block i make 100hp more in safe.. 8/10 psi not more.. on stock internals is enough ;) 350 true hp this car flyes! 1200 kg is pretty light.. i love it because u can challenge with a subaru sti and 3 mins later un can cruise with the wind in ur hair at 40mph in 6th without any problem.. :)
People get carried away with what car is better on paper when the limiting factor is almost always the driver in any circumstance other than straight-line acceleration.

@esteep831 - You, along with many people who comment on this video obviously failed to read the description, annotations, etc. You missed the whole point of the video. Nowhere did I say my S2000 is better in any way than the Audi, nor do I think that. They are in two completely different classes. I have an S2000, because I can afford one. If I could afford an Audi R8, a Ferrari 458, etc., I would have one. Being only 21 years old, I am more than happy with an S2000 with no loans to pay off.
@bane762 besided, this vtec engine being 2L non charged putting out 240 whp is an amazing piece of work, and this car is often used for high quality modifying and racing championships, with 15k you could get 500 hp in this car and bypass the V8 version of the R8 easily, and it will be very very good on the track too ;) dont let them fool you man, this car is great and has even greater potential

Also I think the S2000 is a better looking. The Audi is a nice car, but in my opinion from the side it looks like a Smart car had sex with a Gallardo.
Personally, I'd rather own an S2000. Much better on fuel, much cheaper maintenance, much much cheaper to buy, and incredibly fun to drive. I used to work for Honda so I've driven many of them. If the Audi's engine was as advanced as the S2000's (horsepower per liter), the Audi would have 624hp instead of 525.
That stretch of 22 runs right past my house. I would love to have a go against that r8. I always see him driving around. would love to get a pull in with him

@nomnomdk - It detects when an officer is using his laser/radar gun. (the thing they hold out their window to measure your speed). They don't have to be aiming rite at you either. The radar waves "bounce" off vehicles and other objects and my detector picks that up and lets me know. It will give me a good 1/4 to half mile warning at times. If police are using other means of speed measuring like a stopwatch or whatnot, this will not help. - - - Drive safe :-)

@racing0eagle who cares, its still just a s2k. Also the you would need close to 500hp to smoke the R8. For the drivetrain of economy car like the s2k to handle that kind of power it would need major upgrades. After all of that, its still just a s2k...not worth it.

@bane762 Hey man cool s2k i can say the s2k is a way funner car but Im not trying to troll but i am a 100% sure that is a v8 because the r8 V10 has carbon fiber vents that wraps al the way along the rear near the tail lites the v8 like the one in this vid has only two vents one on each side and also if you were at a dig the r8 "v8" would put all 430 hp to al 4 wheels and it would be no contest but cool vid btw if you dont believe me pause the vid a 12 sec and compare with a pic of a v10

ANyone who claims they dont want an r8 cant afford one and they are h8ers. I cant afford one but I am honest and would buy it along with many other sweet cars if I had the money. A 21yr old w an s2000 is doing well also and probably has no problem getting girls. Back in 2000 when I was 16 I bought a plymouth laser turbo and it was pretty quick and got girls. Cars are about having something you enjoy and as long as you arent a doushe w em your doing good

@cante199 - I got mine for even less than 15k. Its an amazing car for the price, and if you turbo them, they are nearly unstoppable on the road. Its just you gotta get all that power to the road haha. Wider wheels, and better tires. I have AP2V1 wheels on mine, with Bridgestone Potenza S-04 tires all around. In the hot summer weather....those tires are amazing.

@bane762 i want put 17" ap2 wheels on mine..i've 16 and i hate them..really ugly :-\ i've pirelli pzero nero and work good.. need 17 ap2 rims and greddy turbokit heheh.. without open the block i make 100hp more in safe.. 8/10 psi not more.. on stock internals is enough ;) 350 true hp this car flyes! 1200 kg is pretty light.. i love it because u can challenge with a subaru sti and 3 mins later un can cruise with the wind in ur hair at 40mph in 6th without any problem.. :)

Nowhere did I say my S2000 is better in any way than the Audi, nor do I think that. They are in two completely different classes. I have an S2000, because I can afford one. If I could afford an Audi R8, a Ferrari 458, etc., I would have one. Being only 21 years old, I am more than happy with an S2000 with no loans to pay off.

@bane762 besided, this vtec engine being 2L non charged putting out 240 whp is an amazing piece of work, and this car is often used for high quality modifying and racing championships, with 15k you could get 500 hp in this car and bypass the V8 version of the R8 easily, and it will be very very good on the track too ;) dont let them fool you man, this car is great and has even greater potential

Personally, I'd rather own an S2000. Much better on fuel, much cheaper maintenance, much much cheaper to buy, and incredibly fun to drive. I used to work for Honda so I've driven many of them. If the Audi's engine was as advanced as the S2000's (horsepower per liter), the Audi would have 624hp instead of 525.

Specs for the R8 says 3,9 secs. from 0-100 km/h. and for your car (if stock) - about 6 Secs. - maybe a little less.
Audi = 525 HP
Honda = 240 HP
Honda = 1.300 Kg = 5,42 Kg. per HP
Audi = 1.625 Kg. = 3,10 Kg. per HP

Ok the V10 has a 5.2 engine which by volume is 160% bigger from the s2k.
Now on horsepower its 525 vs 240 and thats again 118% more horsepower.
Weight:1625 for the R8 vs1299 for the jap. Now the R8 has 38% more weight.
Power/ weight: 3kg per 1HP for the r8 and 5,4KG per 1 HP for the s2k.
Just some numbers.S2K is strong at 0-120 km/h and again at top speeds of 240+ Cause of the extreme aerodynamics.
