FYI, (1) Tibet has been a part of China for many years, even Dalai Lama does not claim that Tibet is independen. It is his radical followers who claim that Tibet is not part of China. (2)China and Dalai Lama's representatives had aggreement signed before the army entered Tibet; (3) China did not want to kill Tibetan just to take over the land, it was Dalai chose to fire at Chinese army first, several years after the aggreement was signed.
