    :(

  • Wow.

  • That was my hometown and actual street i grew up on. so sad to see this. The quilt studio actually landed into the front of my old house. Knowing the neighbors damage to their homes my hearts go out to them.

  • That's dope. I wish I was inside the building.

  • Thats insane, shit I feel for you people... I thought I had it bad with some massive earthquakes but THIS

  • Jesus, should those people be that close to the water? DangerOUS, I say.

  • I hope the owners can get back up on their feet, same as everyone else affected.

  • I personally know how much work it is to make a quilt, and I feel terrible for that person, and everyone who suffered.

  • wow...

  • I want to know how they're going to handle the clean-up, especially with Hurricane Katia on the way with about the same angle T.T

  • Shit, that's some serious waterflow going there. Reminds me of the floods we had at the beginning of the year. Gonna be tough job getting it all cleaned up. Here's hoping that everyone can get back on their feet again and get their lives back in order quickly.

  • whoa that is extreme

  • Misha Collins sent me here!

  • This is amazing to watch, but very sad as well. It's horrible that those business owners lost everything.

  • OMG this is crazy!! Wow! I hope no one was hurt!

  • Misha Collins set this building on fire?!

  • @CwAziEGiRl I'm sure he said it was just the corner. Go read his tweet. He used to live nearby as a kid.

  • @EtherealSiren225 Oh do you mean he set the corner of this building on fire? Wow, it is amazing to find out these facts.

I hope all the people in this flood are doing well!

  • Thanks for capturing this sad moment..we are so isolated from nature that we forget how powerful, fickle and unforgiving she is...it's a blessing that the owners were out of town...

  • I found myself holding my breath...the force of nature so powerful and potentially deadly. It's amazing to watch and so sad for those who are losing their homes and livelihood. Prayers are with all. - B.J.

  • The guy in the neon poncho though...

  • My bestfriend was in Irene. Luckily she and her family are okay.

  • Oh my lord D: I didn't realize how bad it was.

  • Misha Collins sent me here BUT I also care about the people who suffered from hurricane Irene.

  • Poor people... I hope everyone is alive and safe that lived there.

  • Oh god. I hope people are okay. It's just horrible, with what mother nature can do.

  • Misha didnt send me here. And in an aesthetic view the video is interesting to watch. However you can never be happy about someone losing their business. I only hope that they had flood insurance.

  • Wow I hope people were okay! Jeez people, stop giving thumbs up for every comment that says that Misha sent you here. There's a hurricane blowing through the country for goodness sakes! Have some sympathy please.

  • the awesome Misha Collins sent me here !! love him !!

thumbs up if he sent u here too !

  • Was this quilt studio still in operation? Glad nobody was inside but it's still sad to see someone's business/livelihood/dreams get washed away. I hope they rebuilt and paint it even pinker if possible. :)

  • @Vonnie20

Yes it was a going business. The owner was out of town so nobody injured, but I'm afraid a lot of sewing equipment and expensive fabric was lost as well as years of work.

  • Castiel sent me here!!! Wooohoo

  • Misha sent me here.

  • Run building run! Be Free! The world is your oyster now...

  • All I can say is WOW! Unbelievable! We were just up that way the other week. We crossed that bridge too. Horrible mess and it is so beautiful there all along Rte. 2 that stretch. i hope they bring it back & everyone is ok. What a film!

  • @thinkplay

Conway street between Lamson and McCuskers is basically gone and the iron bridge is closed until it can get inspected. Other than that the roads around town are still open. It's a different store up in the hills though. There are a lot of washed out, impassable roads.

  • @thinkplay

I think it was nervous laughter. Nobody thought it was funny, but it was hard to absorb what we were seeing.

  • The building is still sitting in the trees where it stopped as seen in the video. It is half in the road and the road is washed out several feet deep around the building.

  • Where did the building end up?

  • @doubleODaveO

The building is still sitting in the trees where it stopped as seen in the video. It is half in the road and the road is washed out several feet deep around the building

  • I'm wondering who took this film. I used to write for the West County News in Shelburne Falls, and your camera was pointed right at the building I used to work out of on the Buckland side before we moved to the building on Bridge Street, also shown in this video.

  • @licensedtolive

I think you must mean the brick building at Lamson & Goodnow manufacturing. That building is okay, but the factory and showroom are in bad shape. The driveway to the show room became the riverbed and is impassable.

  • @pilotwear Thanks for the refresher...senior moments, and all. Yes, Lamson & Goodnow factory on the Buckland side. I'm trying to reconstruct the lay of the land from memory. Mole Hollow Candle Co. was right at the north side of the falls. The footage of the water rushing under the Bridge of Flowers is amazing. Did the Mohawk Trail between Buckland and Charlemont flood?

  • @licensedtolive

Yes, Route 2 is still closed from Buckland to all the way to North Adams. Apparently Charlemont was hit pretty hard.

  • good thing it was just a quilt store that was likely empty, opposed to and house with a family inside.

  • vt or mass?

  • @iPojHD It's in Shelburne Falls, Mass

  • @CJMack1979 This looks like it was taken on the Buckland side of the old Iron Bridge, just in front of McCusker's Market. Shelburne Falls Village is on the other side of the iron bridge.

  • someones life just floated away

  • I had no idea....It's not on the newz.

  • hope the Bridge of Flowers is OK - a beautiful sight

  • @purplegolfchic

The bridge of flowers is still there, but needs to be inspected to make sure it is still safe.

  • Never seen anything like this in the Falls.

  • So sad!
