Wow this is great! I'm going to DragonCon, and was looking for inspiration for steampunk-esque weaponry and style, and this video gave me a great conception for these kinds of things. Thanks!
@tytyty784 lol dont be. Steampunk is mostly science fiction and alot of it shows up in movies and games today. Ex: Final Fantasy, Gundam, Treasure Planet, Howls Moving castle, and Doctor Who. Sure its popular among Cyberpunks and Goths, but they are nothing alike. Plus, it's pretty interesting. ;D -Akabari
man i love steampunk i will always love steam and i will always wear my goggles im ready to build this up right make the gears stand out awsome tesla gun
He used the same design as the old bolt action rifles of WW1 to WW2 and even today. Obviously the reason is if you have a, lets say, a Kar 98. You don't want the scope to be on the bolt sled, so you have a C-clamp style connector.
@masterwordweaver Thanks Rikka, I appreciate that. He amazes me all the time with the things he comes up with. Jordan can pretty much build anything he pictures in his mind. I can't believe he never mentioned our YT channel before.....teenagers are hard to figure out sometimes. I'll let him know you checked out his vids.
@RamblinAround Jeff you've done such a great job with Jordan. I continuet to be amazed. Can't believe he didn't mention yall's youtube page! LOL :) KUDOS and MUCH appreciation for all you've done. He's a wonderful, talented kid!!
That's a cool lookin' piece of artwork Jordan!! Knowing you two I was kinda waiting to see you plug it into an Amp and play something on it. Great job. ☺

Nice job on the gun !
It looks like it was well thought out before you started on it .
Does the lased diode actually work on it ?
You should put the switch inside the trigger guard to make it look more functional.
Now you need to build a REAL working rail gun that has that Victorian steam punk look to it and have the thing work.
I am not sure how you would hide the capacitors though.
It could be powered by a hand crank dynamo so no batteries needed to run it.
Just a cool idea.
