  • Yes good router..but what with bandwich limitation?QOS is very poor.Well if ISP providers have routers that can in software devide stream, why then the latest router cannot in home enviroment do same? There is no any option for number which represents download and upload limit for every lan port.Which router have these characteristics?

  • i tried to set this up last year and it was really hard to set it up so i just took it back

  • Linksys routers are the best, I've had this for over 2 years and it's still going strong with good reception and range.

  • English please

  • I have this but did not know about its being able to have 2.4 and 5 working at the same time. I thought something was wrong. I am trying to get Epson Artisan 810 to work wirelessly and am wondering which if there is a preference for 2.4 or 5? I also need help with how things are different in how the setup takes place. I do not know how to figure out (without calling tech support) how to do it. There was a time when I just called tech support at first minute. Not now.

  • at first not but now it works great and fast ;-)

  • now it works well ;-)

  • The router is sexy. Way way sexaaayy....

Note: If you don't get internet, its because you need to connect an internet modem.

    1) Use an RJ45 cable and connect modem to router "Internet" slot

    Or

    2) Plug-in a tiny USB modem on the USB slot

Second, Configure the router!!! How da hell you gonna do anything when you don't set it up?!

  • i hate it ! i can`t connect my Xbox :-(

  • @Browns33ful Stay away from Linksys

They are too big to provide you with support down the road, when their crap dosen't work right...Customer Support in non-existent. Go with belkin or netgear for your router...wayyyyyyyyyyy more user friendly and reliable. TrendNet and Dlink are other companies which produce high end reliable hardware.....Good Luck!

  • hmmm.. really huh?!. geeze.. defensive?!.

  • hmmm.. really huh?!. geeze.. defensive?!.

  • i have this one but it is having problems. its very slow and i only have 1 xbox and a laptop using it help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i dont know how to recover my password on it

  • is la mouff full lol

  • Sorry i don't wanna get offensive or anything but i've seen the inside of this router and you really pay a lot of money for so little hardware that is used to build this router. I'm not going to say that my router is the best but you always have options you can choose from. Also i don't like routers with build-in antenna's Antenna's should be sticking upward and external like the router i use which is the D-Link DIR-855. I never had issues with D-Link routers. Keep your firmware up-to-date !!!

  • linksys from cisco #1 best ever u get 2-5 or more MB out of them i have hit 7 MB off of a linksys wireless box an other box D-link Netgear Belkin couldn't do that linksys #1 an 10x faster for cable an Verizon linksys better ppl i know it alot of money but reason why alot because its awesome for gaming network videos msn video talk it does everything at once! with out slowing down im a network admin i have tested alot ppl dont get Netgear from comcast doesn't it gives u 1-2 mb linksys 7mb or more

  • Comment removed

  • I got v2 with DD-WRT, which makes a great router even better :)(build 14289, very stable)

  • @Jorbazz Oh! that's great but unfortunately in the future that would create some problems.. It's warranty will be voided because a diff. firmware is being used on the router,.. trust me..

  • Excellent router. I got this one

  • english !!! english !!!

  • @ElFreakolo engrish

  • My ipod stop connecting to my damn wifi and i have this router. no matter what the hell i do it wont connect anyone wanna help?

  • Pass. Got a WRT600N and it is junk. Read the forums before you buy, many people have tremendous problems with the WRTx00 series. Their firmware/software just doesn't work as promised. Learn from everyone's problems: DON'T BUY THEIR PRODUCTS. Note: Their WRT54G is bullet proof.

  • @mesonto WRT610N is not junk :)

  • wha?? sorry i dont understand you.... speak slower plzzzzz

  • Do You need a modem ?

    are linksys quality products ?

  • Ok i got me 2 laptops my newer windows 7 has a 802.11 B/G/N and im using a Netgear G router right now but will my other laptop a windows vista compaq with a 802.11 B/G work with a N router?

  • @danielc365 Most N routers will have b g and n support, just read the box to check

  • @danielc365 yeah you just need to set it to mixed mode ang you good to go

  • how to run 300mbps on that?

    need help with config

  • listen to wat he says he know what hes talking about hes Asian lol

  • IM ASIAN

  • ApFaqTech, Not just another video, this one stands out.

  • when your setting it up,do you need to plug it in to a phone jack?

  • Its very good, I use it for around like 5 pcs and 3 ps3s. It always picks me as the host in modern warfare and everyone has green bars.

  • really?.. how many mb do u have? just wondering..

  • @mexiking11 holy shit man that is god mode right there

  • @ulgl1234 What's god mode?

  • @mexiking11 idk what moden your using but i have the same one never been host once in my life

  • ya well there is different stores to get it. i got this one at best buy for about 300 but thats b cuz its top of the line best selling router in the world. there is also alot of memory on it and there are two antennas one for gaming and the other for wireless, computers, media, etc. so ya it may be worth alot but its worth it for its insane features

  • sik ten funny stuff

  • I'm asian but cmon man...

not only do you have an heavy accent while explaining, but you also have a lisp.

  • being asian is nothing to do with this, the lisp is

  • lol

  • does this work for gaming??

  • I got this one :) It's good

  • @BadBlue23 i got it but its cant handle more the 6 people so im going to get a new 1

  • i bought one of these and it keeps making an annoying noise, help?

  • use warranty to replace it..DUH

  • hey i just bought a shitty becklin wireless router and im taking it back tomorrow, whats a better one i can get? i want good one but i dont wanna spend too much on it...

  • My Wrt610N, it sucks. I just bought it for 300 bucks and its so slow. Any ideas? Pm me.

  • are u freaking kidding ???its 69$

  • @xXcharmanderXx omg 300 you got ripped the F off lmao

  • @xXcharmanderXx Ripped off, it's at least $50 if your smart.

  • ....the lates rawtr... xD

  • i do like the fact however that this is a choo dual band wireless router lol

  • No offense to anyone, but hey, c'mon... have someone who speaks VERY CLEAR English in all video reviews! This is like the Spanish lady that works a local drive through--it's a nightmare trying to understand her through the crappy speaker. C'mon guys, use common sense.

  • his speech is fluent!

  • omg my xbox 360 does not want to connect to it its so annoying...

  • I have a wrt610n v2, and so far it's working so great! I have a tivo,ps3 and laptops connected to it wirelessly using 5mhz and it is working so fast and great. I maximized the 610mbps of it. I just don't get it why others have a lot of complains about this device... I think they have to Study the fundamentals of networking first.

  • Linksys is shit i have had two they broke in no time apple extreme base station is superior to this shit

  • i got it

  • which 1 is much better? This one or the D-Link DIR-655? I heard this one is having hard time running both frequency.

  • Netgear WNDR3700 is the best router i ever use and also easy to setup.

  • this router sucks ass, I get random disconnects and the software that came with it is fucking useless.

  • I bought this dog also - updated firmware - still didn't work - called tech support - after disabling several of the 'features' it sort of works - runs way to hot - my neighbors signal is twice my own.

  • I can understand him. *shrugs*

  • I had this for a few days as it wasn't what I expected after not researching enough

Points to note, this is really a gigabit switch. So you cannot plug a phone line directly into it, you will need a crossover cable and will still need to use your existing router for internet access. Or a ethernet cable which has direct internet access as the internet is a WAN port.

The USB HDD storage is a pain to work, does work for me just was a chew on. I also found it VERRRRRRRRY slow and I think I read

  • @Lil306 your so funny!. do you really think you know what you are saying? wrt610n is a switch?. wahahaha!. well, you haven't researched enough then.. you said "....and i think i read..." well, seems like you don't know how to... you should be taught then.. hahahaha

  • @iamkaren0811

Wow, talk about a troll. Bumping comments a year old. This is a router with a switch built inside, it can't directly connect to the internet unless you supply it with a Network Link, otherwise it's just a switch.

  • @Lil306 hmmm... really huh?!. geeze.. defensive?!. hehe

  • It is too little, too late. Wait for the next generation of routers to arrive with faster processors and 256MB memory.

  • I got this router. Its really good.

  • i cant connect to the internet help?

  • guys it reads the router but i get no internet

  • this is the one i have took me a while to figure it out?? lol

  • If I hook up a External HD via the USB port can I access it with my PS3 to access video and photos?

  • yup. it worked for me

  • This is an excellent router, very easy to set up and very modern looking...

  • Is it way better than WRT54G? I have that router and I still can't go wirelessly on my own wireless network.

  • hows that possible?

  • I connected it all right......

But it doesn't work, it won't connect to the internet.

    What should i do?!?

  • Contact Linksys 1-800-326-7114 if you have any problems. This is new technology so you will have to do some configurations to the settings with Linksys help. I had to change channel frequencies and other settings to make it run smoothly. This router is not for amateurs. I don't even find the wireless-N to be much faster than wireless-G. Not really worth the money, honestly.

  • Ok thanks

  • yo these wireless routers give of wifi right? like for an ipod touch or psp

  • @Mrfatishere well.. that's why it's called wireless because it gives wireless connection to wireless devices... hmp..

  • cool

  • very cool

  • Ok, so I've been having a lot of gamer lag (Up to 36,000 ms ping). My modem is about 2 years old. My system's hardware is pretty fast and pretty new. Will this new modem boost my signal strength AND speed as well? Will lag become a rare thing with this new modem?

  • @GeekingForJesus hmmm... this is actually a wireless router.. not a modem

  • Give this guy a chance. He's from the same country I'm from.

  • I´ve bought one in July of 2008, which replaced my WRT300N..It was my best decision I´ve made on my Network. I just don´t understand some of the comments posted before Me. About problems some folks are having...

Well, First of all, go to square 1 and get some education how the Wi-Fi works..This router is not for every Network and/or hardware scenario.

I gave the 5 star rating for this video and the creator of it, for his effort to explain in a very easy way, how this amazing router works.

  • U COULD PLAY GAMES WITH THE INTERNET

  • btw why why why why why does this router look like it was designed to be an rc car. -_-

  • @rio2012 i don't know.. maybe you need to have your eye checked first.. hahaha

  • Lol what a racist. xD

  • Show us Storage Link! I can't find a demo anywhere. =/

  • i have it. save your money for networking it sucks

  • i agree it sucks it makes me re install it every week, doesnt detect xbox media player, i prefer wrt150n

  • i thought the larger the number in the middle the longer range it can cover?

  • will it detect my PS3 ?

  • Yes, it will but it will not work on the N 5ghz ban.

  • spend

  • $149 only.

  • How much Is It?

  • this vs the timecapsule, which is better?

  • I love LELA, I love LELA, I love LELA....

  • Looks great and easy to set up wireless network. Only problem is I can't connect anything to it wirelessly. LELA software is a pain in the neck and appears buggy. I've given upon wireless connection for now...the ethernet outlets are Ok and wired connection is fantastic..and I'm even getting used to the blue cable strung across the room to 2nd computer...one reason I wnet for wireless in firstplace

  • i have a router similiar to this one its pretty awesome

  • Awesome. So you never have problems with it kicking off wireless connections, randomly restarting, ignoring your QoS, or anything else?

  • Absolutely no problems what-so-ever so far. No dropped connections or QoS problems. I've been Torrenting on it constantly for about 3 weeks straight on the 5Ghz band, 24/7, and it hasn't dropped a connection once.

  • I'll trade ya.

  • how much is it? is it good for ps3 online?

  • I dunno. Goto Bestbuy and find out.

  • Also, I bought it expecting it to be crap, considering it has internal antenna's, but I was definately wrong. Infact, it had a little better signal coverage then the 600N, and reached area's the 600N couldn't. Anyhow, so far so good.

  • While I'll admit that when it does work, it's pretty cool and reaches really far. When it doesn't work, though, it's an epic fail. Unfortunately, Linksys doesn't seem to know what to do about it, either. Their answer is to keep take them back until you get one that works.

  • You could try to switching over to the Dlink 855DIR witch is also dual-band, and return you Linksys for a refund, that's if you can do that. Although people are also reporting problems with that router as well.

  • Too bad this router is a piece of crap. Any of you will be hard pressed to find someone that "easily" set this thing up. I'm on my third router now, and I still have problems. Oh, and Linksys still only "beta" firmware for this thing, and they aren't able to fully support the hardware yet. This, according to the techs at Linksys... er... Linksys by Cisco.

    Avoid at all costs!!!

  • I have both the WRT600 and the 610N. The 610N was easier to setup then the 600N. Infact the 610N is brain-dead easy to setup.

  • I was waiting for him to say "me luv u long time." lmao

  • lmao-----holy crap

  • it looks like a george foreman grill lmaoooooo

  • someone tryed ddwrt on this one?

  • Does this router work to play online for ps3?

    good video by the way.

  • yes, this router is one of the best entertainment routers. Its extremely fast and easy to setup. Don't pay attention to a lot of these other comments. LELA is for real and makes it really easy to setup

  • WRT600N Was Best This One Better Right ?

  • Does it work well through walls?

  • yes it does.

  • @ApFaqTech, CNET GET SOMEONE NEXT TIME THAT WE ACTUALLY KNOWS HOW TO SPEAK ENGLISH, AND DOES NOT CONFUSE HIS "R"s AND HIS "L"s

  • Hi! My network is ADSL and not cable, can this router conect to my modem via USB?? Regards

  • So?

  • its the accent!!! you bitch!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Can you connect a HD or printer to the USB port?

  • Does this model do WEP/WPA security?

  • Yep, almost all routers these days feature WEP/WPA security.

  • Nice review

  • Pretty easy to understand him if you actually pay attention

  • @sabboth1 You have to listen VERY closely...

  • @bek12 and why are you replying to a comment that I made eons ago??

  • @sabboth1 Why do you care? I think he is difficult to understand, so I said so.

  • Then you lose.

  • so whats a better model that wrt54gl

  • Constant evolution

  • sweet
