  • Been checking out some of your older reviews and this game looks great. First, I love pirate games, movies and books and second, my gaming group loves an adventurous theme. I'll suggest this one next time we get together. Excellent review.

  • Good bit of warpage on those player boards...

  • I have a question for you though that I would appreciate you answer to the best of your knowledge. What board game would you recommend for someone looking for a more area control, resource management, and combat strategy game?

I lean more toward those with a real-world Medieval or even fantasy theme, since that's what I'm more into, but wouldn't mind something more modern or even science-fiction based. Some of the games I've looked into include Runewars and Warrior Knights to name a few. Ty.

  • @Jotora I know this question is a year old but game of thrones second edition is an excellent area control game with some resource management but tons of combat strategy. Dice are not used it is a very strategy based combat with no luck. And it also has a lot of intrigue with alliances made and broken. An excellent area control game. 3-6 players but best with the max for the most fun.

  • This is a very likely purchase for me after having read the entirety of the rules in pdf format and watching your video.

It wasn't originally the style of game I was looking for, but this is likely something that both I and the majority of my friends will be able to enjoy.

  • VERY high level review. A pure delight to watch. Went out and bouught the game right away - and, mateys, it´s a winner! Best Pirate boardgame, yet.Pray continue uploading, Master Strike. ;-)

  • Where's the music taken from? It sounds wonderful!

  • I second Dann7000's comment -- your reviews are much more than an examination of components.

With so many viewing your videos as well as their high quality, I'm sure you'll soon have review copies of games being sent to you.

    Keep uploading!

  • Great video, but why call it "Components Breakdown". I almost didnt watch it because I thought it wouldnt have any description of the game.

  • Very nice review!

  • Very good review! Thanks!

  • I would love to be hired by a Publisher...no one is exactly banging down my doors though ;).

  • It's called a "SPIEL release," not an "Essen release." SPIEL is the annual games fair held in Essen, Germany. You wouldn't refer to a game as an "Indianapolis release" if it was released at Gen Con, right?

I'm sorry that your player boards look a bit warped. I hope my version is fairing better, but feel compelled to go check. Thanks for another great video Jeremy, it was well done as always.

  • @YoksterMan It is acceptable to call a game released at Essen Internationalen Spieltage an "Essen release." This game fair is always held in Essen and it is the largest game fair in the world for boardgaming. Saying a game came from Essen is easier on the layman as well (vs. Essen Internationalen Spieltage SPIEL). BTW, GenCon has not always been at Indy, in addition, GenCon holds events elsewhere as well. Saying an Indy release (vs. GenCon) could become confusing in that respect. Great review!

  • Geez your videos are amazing. Publishers should be hiring you to make their marketing videos :)
