don't forget that he's tuned differently than normal... so the natural harmonics he produces with that pickslide at 0:40 are different as well.. i forget the tuning, but it has a lot of octaves of the same note in it, i remember that much.. therefor many of the natural harmonics produced at the 4th fret will sound the same but in higher and lower octaves... makes for a really "scraping sheet-metal" screech sound... mmm tasty!

@DistortedBrain use the left hand to mute all the strings at around the 4th fret. Do an upstroke, but instead of holding your pick normally, hold it on the side. For a better explanation look up "gojira pickslides" and watch some of those tutorials

What you're describing is probably an artificial harmonic. Pinch harmonic is really an irrelevant distinction in that case. A natural harmonic is any harmonic that isn't manipulated after it's produced.
