  • great voice ! great cover, love it man.

  • @musicforindies Thanks! Check out my ChadWork1 channel for more stuff and gear reviews/demos. I do a lot of mic demo stuff. Also I'm branching into aerial video with an RC quad. Cheers!

  • thoughts on the Sputnik?

  • @PeteWojMusic The Sputnik is a truly awesome mic! Look for my "Large Diaphragm Condenser Shootout: AT4050, NT2000, AT4033a, Sputnik" video here, or on Vimeo. One note, the hi-pas filter on the Sputnik cuts more than it's supposed to, and will make your voice sound thin. Otherwise it's a warm lively mic for voice & guitar.

  • still, a nice job singing and playing thnx for posting

  • didn't your mama tell you not to use the fword

  • Fabu! Good choice of band to cover. ;-)

  • Great Job Chad! My good friend Vince used to have the exact same stratocaster, except I believe he put Delta Blues pickups in his. His was a 1999 strat mine was a 99 also with a New Wine finish, an awesome deep red. I put vintage noiseless pickups in mine. I wish I never got rid of that guitar, even though it was made in Mexico. I'm pretty happy with the 3 guitars and 1 bass I own now!

  • @achemachew Thanks man! Yeah that's an American Delux Strat from around 2000. I put a JB Junior Humbucker in the treble position with a spin-a-split wiring to allow for variable transition between hum/single coil using one of the tone knobs. I also have an LSR Roller Nut installed, but I don't use a whammy bar any more. I locked off my bridge for better tone/tune.

  • @Chadfish WOW! You have the coil-tapping switch! I'm considering that wiring for my Epiphone SG. The Epiphone was lots cheaper than Gibson, but it's still a pretty good guitar for $400! I hardly ever used the tremolo arm on the strat because it always knocked it out of tune! Good move with the LSR Roller NUT, it reduces the wear on your strings versus an ordinary nut.

  • @achemachew Well it's not a switch, it's my tone knob. So it's variable anywhere from full humbuck to mixed to full single coil. I thought it would be cool, but honestly I never use it. I prefer the humbucker sound. The little half sized single coil sounds too thin, and it's NOT noisless like the others. If I did it again I would get a full sized humbucker and split that. As far as Cheap guitars go, I'm a snob, but I got a Squire "60s Vibe" P bass, and that thing kicks ass for 350.00!

  • @Chadfish Oh, I see! Your guitar has more tone settings then without it. I wanted to do that years ago my Epiphone Les Paul 2 it was called. It was an off-white color. It had 3 humbuckers and gold tinted hardware. I thought about the wiring process for all three and discovered I'd have to drill more holes for the knobs, and it didn't look I had room for only one or two more potentiometers. I ended up selling the guitar back to the guitar store I got it from for $100 store credit towards a bass.

  • That sounded really good.

  • clean man

    Peace, ace77man

  • Excellent!
