Mercenary warfare has been around for a while, such as even the Romans hired mercenaries. They were also hired in the Thirty Years War and also during the American Revolution there were Privateers, commercially financed pirates basically.

hey, im canadian, and this video really pissed me off. our military may not be as rich, or as big as yours, but we are currently playing a huge role in afghanistan, and we have lost too many men and women to knock that fact.

exactly, canada has one of the greatest military histories of the modern world. we have many regiment with many battle honours. its a shame to see people put down the military especially with the current role we have.

haha, American media seems to keep it that way. My parents lived in the U.S. for a year and they were amazed at how little they ever heard about Canada. On the weather channel they didn't even show that the country existed! haha, pretty funny. No, we don't plan on attacking you though. :)
