I thank-you for your voicing the truth about the liars out there. So many people don't believe their gov. would ever lie ! or that any charity would lie to get their hard earned money! Thankfully I'm not of that ilk, and neither are the majority of us .

Scientific prove of the benefits of smoking; anyone who has ever tried Meditation knows that the trick is all about to relax by controlling your breathing pattern. Smoking is a very effective way to achieve it though, considering the taxation on smoking you'll save a lot going to meditation sessions.

Lies always tend to come out,as the people who lie forget what is truth and what is a lie, it is very difficult to bring these people to book when they are unaccountable, and having a mainly biased press and media against us, makes the job extremely difficult.

Timalay, because politeness and common sense says you have to put up with the preferences of a host when you go to *his* venue rather than enforce your preferences on him and everyone else that goes to *his* venue. Just because you would prefer a pub or venue not to have heavy metal music all day, doesn't give you the right to march in and demand that your preferences take precedence over the wishes of the host and everyone else who comes to the venue *because* it plays heavy metal music.
You are right in 1975 ASH decreed that as they couldnt achieve further reductions in smoker numbers they would perpetuate the myth of SHS. This would turn smokers into killers and pave the way for bans. Of course as you say harm from SHS is merely a desire, not a reality.
It would be essential to foster an atmosphere where it was perceived that active smokers would injure those around them, especially their family and any infants or young children who would be exposed involuntarily to [smoke in the air].

3- Hurts the economy (and other aspects of society).

You are not forced tp put up with anything, simply go in a smoke free venue and enjoy yourself. But do not demand that all venues be smoke free.
