You should create a 'trail' (similar to the mouse-trail used in OS' like Windows) for the unit (minute, day, month etc..) you wish to display in the fourth dimension. That makes the trail the visual representation of the 4th dimension right?
I believe the author does not use the term 4D to refer to four spatial dimensions but to three spatial dimensions and an additional time dimension (X,Y,Z plus TIME). In this behalf one could really argue that a gear based clock is fourdimesional.
You obviously have misunderstood quantum physics. You need both space and time for waves to exist. You consist of matter and matter is waves. Therefore if you exist, then space and time exist, too.
And now don't give me that Descartes bullshit about us not existing.
the "space/time" you're talking about is Mind. Just as you dream of being in a landscape, for ex., feeling it is real, you are still not out in space/time; rather, you are exploring the mind's content, which is painting "space"; this space does not exist, but rather it is the brain's (not the mind's) interpretation of a sequencing of events; -peace
I'm sorry, cdewilde, but you're wrong. The century orbit goes from 1 to 100, so technically the century orbit is conected to the myrennium orbit, or ten-thousand-year orbit.
Very interesting representation. I like that the smaller part left a trail, making a sort of helix of time... makes me wonder about going outside of the areas represented in the trail.. and going to a specific point in the helix of past.. Very interesting, 5 stars :)
your wrong. think of it this way 1-x 2-y 3-z and the alphabet stops at z. whats the next letter? we dont know so 4-? . its not cause we cant picture the 4th dimention that it has to be something else if you compare a cube to z then compare the 4th to the next letter not time. thats like saying square-cat
The whole point of this exercise is to demonstrate that time is effectively a dimensional axis that is orthogonal to each of the three spatial dimensions commonly referred to as X, Y, and Z (just as each spatial axis is orthogonal to the other two). The resultant motion through time manifests as helical motion through space.
I think we'd all agree that time is the illusion of reaction. Not a dimension. Matter can only be a dimension. If we counted non-physical aspects of reality I'd say 4-Q For Quantum Mechanics.
I believe that the spatial X, Y, and Z axes represent dimensions in which we have freedom of movement, whereas time is simply a dimension (which again is orthogonal to each of the other three), along which we are all moving in the same direction at more or less the same speed, much like bubbles floating upward through water.
Movement directly involves the fourth dimension - time. Velocity (movement) is measured in length/time! Another fact to consider is that we don't move along the same spacetime line and that relativity "puts" us all in different time frames (although the differences are almost neglectable at the low speeds we move).
You should create a 'trail' (similar to the mouse-trail used in OS' like Windows) for the unit (minute, day, month etc..) you wish to display in the fourth dimension. That makes the trail the visual representation of the 4th dimension right?

Hi cdewilde. Whats up?
Would you like to work with new physics?
lets check it out some videos first.
Idea from Kuopio is video where i told how visible universe really MOVES
No gravity is a video where i told why there is no gravity at all
See yo

So what is the x,y,z-formula describing the movement of the red circle.. :)?

How is this four-dimensional?
On a computer screen it's two-dimensional.
In the real world it would be three-dimensional.

this is multi-D :)

according to quantum physics, space/time don't exist; so what's the point in demonstrating anything 4-D (and above)?
AlphaSigma10 4 years ago
where does it say that
seriously, i just want to read about that
TheStoicAgnostic 4 years ago
for a starter, search/check out "nonlocality" in quantum mechanics, and also read david bohm; (these QM websites will guide you into intros)
AlphaSigma10 4 years ago
that looks very cool
thanks
TheStoicAgnostic 4 years ago
also, on non-locality,listen on youtube to SCIENCE: Dr Michio Kaku Explains Advanced Physics - Part 3
but start with PART 2 (toward the end), and continue with PART 3 (from the beginning);
AlphaSigma10 4 years ago
eh quantum if you keep in mind that quantum is just a theory, its quotes won't bother you xD
SharpAir 4 years ago
the "theory" you're talking about has been replicably tested; see QM: "nonlocality", for example; etc...

Isn't that basically a solar system?

I got to say that obviously it was I who misunderstood quantum physics. I didn't notice your previous posts, but did so now. Thanks.

this is a two spatial dimensions representation of a three spatial dimensions "object" this does not involve the 4º spatial dimension.

there is no 4th spatial dimension, we have 3 spatial dimensions and one of time + the other 7

Hmmm. Could we promote other videos as 3-D and then fault others for saying it isn't, just because they're not the three dimensions they expected? :)

A millenium is 1000 years, not 10000.
