  • Good but the masking job on the bike when it pulls in front of the dude's leg is pretty shoddy.

  • I am in this video!

  • its always sunny music!

  • And I can't find a download for the series.. I remember watching every episode back then..

  • What software was used?

  • wow i wont a hat like that

  • why would u not want the hat...it obviuosly stops time...i would have fun with it ;)

  • @natdebfan this makes me sick, but human, but i'd fuck every woman i could b4 it resumed time

  • what the? all this time i thought i know how he did all of this stuff. but when the guy pushes the box? WTF?! he's such a beast!

  • every single day I wish I were on this show.

  • @hogwashsentinel okay, it is done in final cut pro n photoshop okay... I know zach... you don't need AE for this.. all you do, is you freeze the frame, put it inside photoshop, photoshop the item tat u want freezing up in the air with a see through background. export it as a psd format, bring it back to final cut pro, then boom.. u got it done.

  • @yslee24 It could be, specially because of the hangers, those could have been modelled ina 3D software though, all the rest is a piece of cake in AE, masking out a box or people is easy.

  • what i would do with that hat ^^

  • David Burtka is so cute

  • Did he actually say he doesnt want the ability to freeze time? Is that what he just said?

    What the fucking shit.

  • Let's face it, this was very well done considering that they only got 24hrs from starting the first draft of the screenplay to deliver the final product that you're watching. Who cares if they are some mask mistakes that only last no longer than a second

  • all this shit was most likely done in adobe after effects fellas. Pretty fuckin intense considering post production compositing would take forever. Mad props to the man for achieving this and delivering a prime product.

  • actually most movies are done on avid

  • it wasnt done in after effects. It was just done with photoshop and final cut pro, just freezing the frame

  • @yslee24 No it was AE. I remember when this show was on they showed the dude's computer screen. Besides, if it was just freeze frame you couldn't get the people moving behind the frozen stuff...well you could but it would be incredibly inefficient.

  • HI! I just put this video on my playlist: Based on Andrew Kramer ' TIME FREEZE ' tutorial . This playlist features other Youtubers like you using this FX. To get the link, go on my channel. • amazing! hard work to roto all that..especially that bike tire huh ..hehe

  • I don't think much, if any, roto would be necessary for this.

This same effect used throughout the film can easily be achieved by just adding , let's say, PSD files of people, boxes, etc with opaque layers and thrown on top of the video. There may have been a few shots when roto was needed, but i don't think that would be an issue. If he had to roto it, there would be no way they could have made the strict deadline.

Not sure why there were so many problems though for a relatively easy effect.

  • interesting ..an even easier way.

  • Yea. Especially if you are using software such as Adobe Premiere in correlation with Adobe Photoshop. Premiere has great support for PSD files. Just add them to the project, and use the motion tool to slide them around screen as you need to.

For example, most people in this video frozen don't have shadows, cause it was simply just a layer thrown on top of the image. The box that he moves was just a layer animated across the screen.

Not sure how he did it, but that is certainly how i would. :)

  • roto no it was simply done in after effects by using a mask

  • USE A TRIPOD!

  • well done .

    Bravo...!!!!!!

  • 1:38, that's some auspice! What would the augurs think?

  • At 00:49 he leads forward and his face doesnt show up in the negative space of the hanger.

  • 24 hours people, its only on film and tv you can actually do that much in that time. I would like to see some of yours made in 24 hours movies :D

  • You're absolutely right, also, at 2:08 when the biker moves forward slightly the area inside the front wheel remains opaque.

  • bad short. this is one of those clips that you keep watching because you hope it gets better but it never does.

  • weird idea

  • i luv u guys
