Averaged 13.2 @104mph but the standard clutch couldn't handle it and burnt out after a couple of runs

so do you just use gears 123 on quarter mile? is that why the clutch cant take many runs because ure doing like 40 mph in first gear? i dont understand how to drag race tahts why im asking lol
