  • yeah who ever said to you tht PI gts (99-04) make 200hp at the wheels is wheel w/e they all make 230 at the wheels....at the crank there supposed to get mid 250s and according to ford 302 tq at the crank

  • I Dynoed 260 HP/ and 290 Torque at DYNo JET which is dead on... BUT I don't have a tune just full bolt ons althought I do have an electric water pump. With a tune the guy told me I could make well over 280 WHP... Cause most people he tunes gain about 15- 20 WHP depending on mods, I got JLT Fender CAI, 3.73's, Steeda pulleys, Header,s mangnaflow catback, and thats it... I usualy kill other Bolt on GT's my friends say my cars a freak lol.

  • Me too, im looking to up HP with out sacrificing an arm and a leg to do F/I or turbo. I just want a car that'll surprise people. But im sticking with the idea of lightening the car up and making out handle a ferrari.

  • wow these videos should have like a dumbass warning label bcuz ppl who comment have not a clue about the workings of a car or what horsepower is nice car shaggy everyone else GAYYY lol

  • What Bolt ons were done at the time?

  • Accufab plenum and 70mm TB, borla catback, SCT custom tune (hence the dyno), JLT rai with I think a 9" filter. Stock midpipe and exhaust manifolds.

  • I'm looking to get a similar set up. How much was all that? I'm looking to spend around 3 grand.

  • WAY less than that, if you leave the headers and midpipe stock, you'll spend around a grand. If you don't mind replacing your midpipe everytime you need to get inspected, I would highly recommend a $130 Pypes catless midpipe. That alone gave me a good amount of power and a wonderful exhaust tune.

  • sweet

  • They came with 260bhp, or horsepower at the flywheel, not the rear-wheels. 258RWHP equates to about 290bhp (assuming 11% drivetrain loss). Unless you were being sarcastic and I just didn't get it. Some people assume 15% loss, which would have put me at 304bhp, but I think that's just being greedy.

  • Shaggy's right. When I got my car dyno'd, the guy who owned the place said these cars usually dyno around 200RWHP stock.

  • usually the 99 up pi mustnags dyno between 220 and 230 stock...the older 4.6s dyno under 200 and the 5.0s are probably right at 200 or slightly less when bone stock...assuming you have a 5 speed that is

  • yea, youre absolutely right, I wonder how much is lost when the engine has to pull itself, an average human being, and the car, that must be at least 30% to 45%. what do you think.
