  • @247xReviews MINDFUCK.

  • lol, gotta love a jumping tank...

  • I still cant believe this lost to the gameboy color

  • This portable version of Metal Slug seems to be the best episode of the saga! Classical mechanics but more advanced level design (that urban mission at the end must be amazing to play).

  • 16 Bit Grapics, 8 Bit Music

  • neo geo pocket color?? did not know that existed. Looks good

  • The d-pad on the NEOGEO POCKET WAS AMAZING

  • 03:12 mission impossible? o.O

  • sigue la misma cancion nunca va a cambiar xD

  • this is obviously filmed off an emulator, right?

  • Kinda reminds me of Gunstar Heroes, only 8 bit

  • The Neo-Geo Pocket Color wasn't put that long in the market because SNK was afraid it was going to beat the GameBoy Color lol

  • the graphics look like megaman xtreme 2

  • That sucks as much as Metal Slug Advance ._.

  • Timeless classics. nice gameplay and the music can't get any better than this :D I miss the old days where Games were good. Now all you get these days is God of War and Gears of War. Not knocking them down. But they are all looking the same. Play a FPS game and guess what. they are all the same thing. There's no more GOOD games anymore. It's all just garbage now... *sigh*

  • The graphics really remind me of Wario Land 3.

I wish I could find a Neo Geo Pocket Color so I could play games like this!

  • go marcus go marcus!

  • it was amazing for its time but i would never take this over the console versions.

  • damn, ive got metal slug anthology, and this game is cool- lookin

  • haaaa mas o menos esta bien el juego

  • okay, it looks like it plays decently, i guess. but good god the sound on this thing is atrocious

  • this would made a BAD ASS NES Version

  • I love my NGPC and this game. Better than the GBC. GBA is still probably the best handheld of all time. Minus a hacked PSP or a Dingoo that can play both ;)

  • I WANT IT!

    NOW!!!

  • fuck

  • one of the coolest games

  • Wow, Metal Slug's main theme in 16 bit brings back nostalgic moments.

  • this device is 8 or 16 bit

  • This and Sonic Pocket Adventure Are My Two Favorite NGPC Games.

  • dark arms!

  • How does this play? I don't care if it looks like a turd, if it plays like metal slug, I'm interested.

  • Sort of similar. I've played it before, on emulator and on the original handheld.

You have to switch between guns and grenades, the action isn't as fluid, and it's not as filled with action and shooting. The levels also aren't as linear.

    Still loads of fun.

  • This came out about 5-6 years before the GBA version came out

  • @D202116 Suffice to say, both the NGP games (especially 2nd Mission) kick the crap out not only of all the other portable Metal Slugs, but pretty much of EVERY Metal Slug game that came after MS3, which says a lot.

  • why are you selling it?

  • The little crip homie putt'in in wor, lmao!

    -Stosa!

  • i dont know why.. but the metal slug background music always reminds me of Back To The Future :S

  • This would have been kick ass if it was the actual system instead of an emulator....

And the system would have been kick ass if it'd had a backlight. That's what killed it. No backlight, and SPARSE games

  • the backlight didn't kill the neo geo pocket, No handheld at that time had backlit panels the neo was killed because it simply couldn't compete with the nintendo name and you are correct nintendo had a much larger game library but the neo had quite a decent selection. same as the neo geo cd and aes those fetch 300 to 700 usd these days.

  • What killed it was the lack of marketing. I never heard of the Neo Geo Pocket color till like last year. If SNK had the money to market it and get some more games out it could have held its own against the gameboy at least technically.

It tooks the deep pockets and years of brand recognition for the PSP to do as well as it's doing against the DS.

  • this game would have been so kick ass 20 years ago

  • The NeoGeo Pocket and Pocket Color more so Both remind me of the days of the SEGA Game Gear, A way better system, but people just did not get it, on either system. I had a SEGA Game Gear and it was the shit, and So was the NeoGeo Pocket Color for the fighting games, like SNK vs. Capcom.

  • If you're into the Neo Geo Pocket, you might want to look up "CFC2English". There's a blog about translating Card Fighters Clash 2 to English and about emulators that run on DS, PSP, etc.

  • Classic! Wish I had a Neo Geo Pocket Color...

  • seach a emulator.....or you what a real NG pocket color?

  • I want a real one so I could actually play it in my hands.

  • =O ok

  • i thought the neo geo pocket color was 16 bit, this looks 8 bit.

  • It was meant to compete with the Game Boy Color. So, yeah, 8 bit.

  • looks wayyy better then 8-bit

  • Well, SNK was famous for providing us stunning graphics behind the cool gameplay. But it IS 8-bit.

  • hehe..old school

  • i feel sorry for the kids back then!

  • The kids from...9 years ago?

  • Are you joking? This was awesome at the time, as my man here says, only 9 years ago!

  • this game looks funny and reminds me to zelda form game boy

  • I have all the metal slug games including this one

    but not metal slug 7

  • i downloaded this ROM to my 4.01 M33-2 1.50 Kernel PSPs Neo Geo Pocket Emulator!

  • seriously?

in myopinion new ones are better

    not the 3d or advanced

  • the new metal sugs r better

  • I played this game when I was allowed to play anything in a game store free for an hour. it's awesome!

  • this is a handheld game, this dood on anothor page said the graphics are bad and metal slug 1 looks better. come on!! its a handheld game, the pocket color is like a 16 or 32 bit system or something

  • what!!!? you died?! so how do u finish it?

  • hopefully in a couple monthes I will get a neogeo pocket color

  • To ray619fan Fuck you

  • metal slug is the absolute best

    2D shooter game ever! ^____^

  • @671Fallen Not only the best 2D shooter but the best Side Scroller.

  • @671Fallen

It's a definite fight between Contra and Metal slug for me. SNK and Konami need to work together, to make a cross over of the two.

  • I didn't even know this thing existed

  • Ah, good memories revived.

  • lol at first i thought this was the metal slug on vc on the wii thats why i didnt buy it! is metal slug for the psp capable of game sharing?

  • not to bad for a classic game :D man i miss those big pixel games.

  • Just shut up.

  • I know. They have Mario for the Game Gear too.

  • ummm dude... this isn't a game boy game... read the title "neo geo pocket color" that is a portable game system... not a gameboy... lol

  • The first boss is exactly similar as the 4th boss in Metal Slug Advanced.

  • Ha the tanks must be very easy to destroy.

  • wow what emulator are you using? i have NeoPop but it runs at a god awful frame rate, this looked great...

  • You have to change the framerate manually until it works for you. My emulator for NeoGeo Pocket came with 1 out of 7 frames selected.

  • lol 8-bit Metal Slug!

  • I dont give a crap about graphics REtro For ever. miss those good old days

  • You are the King of POOP!

  • If you mean I know poop when I see it then yes, I am.

  • Do you know were I can easily find a neo geo pocket color

  • Online? One of my local video game stores(Game Trader) has at least five of these systems with tons of games. I love the 40 hour battery life on this thing.

  • Hell yeah man, that's my alarm clock too.

  • @fupanier Wow! 40 hours?! Thats 30 hours more than the Game Boy

  • I was in gameststion over the weekend, they had three of the buggers, boxed for £14.99, Bargaintastic!!

  • If you need one E- mail me Im selling one for $22.00 with 4 games : Metal slug 1st mission, Samurai Shawdown, Neo turf, and a fighting game!!!!!

  • the music iss idd horrid but the sound chip of noe geo pocket is about the weakest around in 8 bit,it is 16 bit i know.

  • Jubilation! I can't wait to to play this again! this is the definitive Metal Slug portable. Metal Slug Advance sucked ass. I'm not to confident about Metal Slug 7 either.

  • Very Cute!

  • hopping tanks hahaha

  • CONGRATULATIONS!

    YOUR NEW LEVEL

  • it almost the same thing on the phone

  • aaaaaaaa why did i sell this and match of the millenium noooooooooo

  • Match of the Millenium rocks. You fucked up, dude.

  • i have a neo geo, it's b&w but i love it, and i have that game, it's very funny

  • the music is horrible even for an old game...but it looks fun :D

  • It's so retro...poor baby :(

Retrogaming's the best man Get used to it

  • if u don't like the game why do u watch the vid.

u should respect neo geo and metal slug

  • honestly... just shut the fuck up. Respect the Neo. Metal Slug is definitely better than some of the shit thats coming out these days.

  • hey guys if u want a neo geo pocket colour u can buy them of a website called genji. com {without spaces}

  • I never got the chance to get a neo geo...

  • im so lucky cuz at the mall where i live they opened a store where u can buy old games and they have a little shelf full of neo geo games ima buy one this sat. ima get Metal slug and SVC card fighters clash and maybe Faselai

  • I miss mine too.

  • i have a neo geo and i had this game but it broke

  • I miss my Neo Geo Pocket Colour

  • I bought my neo geo pocket color only because of this game. Metal Slug is one of the best action games ever made.

  • I just got it for handheld MS too! Its like contra an steroids!

  • Music's not so good, but the game overall looks alright.
