Thanks for your input! The reason we suggest rolling it down to the base is because it provides more surface area protection against certain STIs like herpes and HPV. Having the condom fully rolled down can also prevent the unrolled ring from catching on an orifice and pulling it off. That said, condom fit and comfort is different for everyone. If it’s loose at the base, then the person could hold the condom with their hand during sex, or experiment with different types of condoms.
