The 80's was the dawning of basically everything that is great about today. Cars went from carbs to fuel injection. Arcade games went from being in the mall to inside the house. Computers went from science fiction movies to class rooms. The only thing that has gotten worse since the 80's is the music.

Example I grew up to watching shows like Saved By the Bell, and Fullhouse, now kids grow up watching admiring, and emulating people from shows like Jersey Shore etc. I played games like Mario bros. in my youth, now kids have the option to rape and kill hookers after screwing them in games like GTA.

@herbprophet I was a teen in the 80s so I love the music, but let's not sound like older generations! I remember older people back then saying our music was not "real" because of all the electronics and how much simpler life was in the 60s and 70s. And of course older people then said the same thing about the baby boomer era music. Some things don't change. And I don't know exactly when Zappa made that quote, but it must have been a long time ago.

@aeronuk1 But still, when people put on the radio they could still get their favorite station to hear the music they like, they didn't need to come on here only back than in order to hear their music they love.
Radio stations are different in every state and since I am from NYC, I got 6 fucking pop stations that play todays horse crap music and there's just no good rock stations anymore and so I gotta only come on here or listen to my ipod to hear the music I grew up listening to

@marzilyas We live in a fallen world, of course these satanic morals have been in music and the entertainment industry for decades. The point I'm making is they are MUCH more prevelant NOW, than ever. Example I grew up to watching shows like Saved By the Bell, and Fullhouse, now kids grow up watching admiring, and emulating people from shows like Jersey Shore etc. I played games like Mario bros. in my youth, now kids have the option to rape and kill hookers after screwing them in games like GTA.

You can totally tell while they were shooting they specifically asked people that weren't white to leave the shot. Then took the time & spent the extra money on film in order to re-shoot so it could be as caucasian as possible. @sugarcubicle look beyond all that. It's 20 flippin' 12.

thats when the uk had a great nhs system,not half as many diseases,plenty of work to go around (except for the lazy), "alot less crime"(especially nasty crimes which did exist but not on todays scale) far less fraud and cross channel card cloning etc,just a better,safer,cleaner more honest place to live.I think the arnie films and the likes "where you would see sinister leaders and guys at the top"plotting against thier own people, seems to have rubbed off on the toffs who have finished the uk.
