Yeah, remember this run well! Thanks for posting this, Erbacher's gonna do it this year, anyone who was at the Thunderball few weeks ago will know why!
Either that or Joon, 4.75/274mph shut off 1200ft at easter. Both looking good!
Your correct Zoddyzoom79, he broke his breastbone in the shut-down area, he did not have state-of-the-art seatbelts and when the parachute came out he was thrown too far forward. You could say that the car literally wasn't meant to go that fast!
THANKS FOR POSTING THIS!!!! I was there, one of the greatest moments in European drag racing! But it wasn't a new European record as you have to run a back-up run for it to count as an official record.

I saw this one from the barn. Nearly missed it though because some TMD crew van was pulling up to the startline.

This was Kim Reymond's last run because of the injury, it's the reason he hasn't raced since.

Did he break a bone on this run.... or am i thinking of someone else. Apparently it was his breastbone or a rib... great video :)

santapod 5 years ago
was the fastest run ever by a piston driven car/dragster at santa pod - But now surpassed by Urs Erbacher at the 2006 euro final, 318MPH!!
