I lived the 80's both in America and overseas. And let me tell you, the people overseas are not partying to the garbage they crack out today like sausage. 70's & 80's music is the predominant form of music in most countries and sang in many languages. The trash music of today, including most of the 90's trash bubble gum, talentless crap. Back then they actually had to be able to sing. Today, machines keep them on key because they have a pretty face and can't sing for shit. 70's & 80's Rock :-)

This is the best run-down on the dance songs of the 80's I've ever seen. You pretty much hit every single iconic dance song from that era. I;d have chosen a different pic for Stevie Wonder, tho, and included "It's a Love Thing" by The Whispers.

Those who didn't live through those times can still get an idea of what it was going on in American culture by checking out these songs and their corresponding videos. MTV was just getting started, and "clubbing" was something done to baby fur seals.
