Just discovered, I LIKE making stuff! Although I have like a kind made for idiots....as you can see, I bought that one for me! One question, HOW do I tie the ends up so it does not just go BOOOIIIING! And I am sitting with the loop thingies all over the kitchen?
Nice use of larger materials so your technique is readily visible.
What do you use to beat down the weft and pack your weaving nice and tight, for durability? My mother's fave tapestry beater of all her tools was a dessert fork.
I so want to hand you & your students a pickup stick, and/or string heddle loops-on-a-stick, and/or Betty Linn Davenport's frame loom book for next steps!
Nice beginning piece. Nice to see you have several. Keep up the good work!
This is amazing. It's a lost art. Thank you for keeping it alive!

That is really interesting. I love that you can use scraps of fabric that you have. That will work well to get rid of the left overs I have.

good video for someone without a clue.
hey debbie:
how well does that jute warp hold up after being used / walked on????
that warp looks very loose. wont that make the RUG pretty unstable? im not a big fan of warp faced weaves. but this is a good novice how to.
