it means yesterday, but it can potentially have a broader meaning of 'in the past' when I listen to it, it sounds more appropriate for it to mean something like 'all that has happened,' but that's not really a translation ;P
@chrismarch69 yes, yes it is supposed to be music. sorry if it's too deep, hauntingly original, and, most importantly, emotional for you. go listen to simple mainstream if you don't like music that makes you actually feel something different.
Hvarf-Heim will be surely the album i will be listen while commiting my suicide! Sigur Ros are so powerfull - the same wild energy of Cocteau Twins - not any human words needed for expressing all that the spirit wants to tell!!! MAGNIFICENT!!!!!!!!!
How strange... The music of Sigur Rós is in such a great harmony with these pitcures of the wild and cold landscape of iceland.
I can't say, if these sounds make me happy or sad, its like something beyond all feelings I know from my every-day-life. Its somehow satisfying and at the same time it makes me longing for more of that and those deep emotions.
Well, perfection is a heavy word, but somehow, this is perfection for me.
I am living in a country (not so far away from Iceland) where Icelanders are considered totally wackos and freakish and in any case people from another planet. And i have to admit, that yes, it seems so, when the people that surrounds me show no feeling, no sincerity or any emotion to others or themselves.
For me this band music is like a continuous river of feelings from deep inside the human being.
Maybe Icelanders seems like this because they can be totally sincere about one's feelings?
Hello, i`m argentinian. I 've travelled around patagonia mountains, forests and glaciers, and I have been also in Iceland (where I knew a nice girl :P). can tell you taht both regions have outstanding places and people! Go to both!!!
Landmannalaugar to Thorsmórk :) I made this too. It's an amazing feeling to do this trekking while listening to Sigur Rós
