Guys I know the guitar tech doesn't seem to know a lot about the rig but if you really look at what the rig is made of, all it takes is some common sense to use it.
@Marcel3540 Basically, the big black controller on the stage with all the footswitches turns the pedals in the rack on and off. They do it because it's cleaner, easier to use and more convenient than having all the pedals out on stage :)

No overdrive. The "Compressor" is actually a Phase 90. Get it together man!! The "Green Line 6" is their delay module. It looks like he has a long delay setting and a short delay setting. The ME-50 isn't "supposed to have 50 multi-effects" it DOES have 50 multi effects. I hope they aren't paying him a lot
@jmdefg that's not a phase 90...phase 90's have and only ever will have one knob...and the othe MXR "overdrive" pedal could be the micro amp which has just a gain knob, and if you are running it at a very high volume, it could distort your sound when it pushes the tubes...also i think you can back off of the guy saying "it's supposed to have 50 multi-effects"...he's doing a job we all wish we had...
@dan143beatles You can change between the two (or more) if they are different to get different sounds. Lot of guys run a clean amp and a dirty amp for the characteristics of each and us an A/B switch for simple switching. Sometimes they are the same amp for more power..and sometimes two different amps will be run together to get an interesting swirling blended type tone. Many reasons I reckon, but I don't bother with it.

Why two SVT heads? The SVT has a 2ohm switch on the back for powering two 4ohm cabinets. The AMPEG SVT was originally designed to power two 8x10 cabs together. In other words,this bass player is using two separate amps,both running at half power instead of one amp at full power. Do the tubes last longer at 4ohms?
The Matchless DC30 is considered to be one of the best amplifiers ever built, and all this guy can say is "it's pretty cool...it just gives you what it gives you."

Why two SVT heads? The SVT has a 2ohm switch on the back for powering two 4ohm cabinets. The AMPEG SVT was originally designed to power two 8x10 cabs together. In other words,this bass player is using two separate amps,both running at half power instead of one amp at full power. Do the tubes last longer at 4ohms?

The Matchless DC30 is considered to be one of the best amplifiers ever built, and all this guy can say is "it's pretty cool...it just gives you what it gives you."

@vbdude006 never heard of matchless or ampeg??? haha. matchless are amazing amps and that dc30 is about $4000. ampeg have been around since 1950's. your obviously not into guitar gear.

Yes I am into guitar gear haha, maybe just from a different perspective. I mean I love Mesa/Boogie and think they are the greates amps ever. Don't get me wrong, I've checked out some matchless and ampegs now and I must say the do sound good :)
