Though i can say my Neo wouldn't do it. He's too lazy and food centered. My Gully on the other hand would probably go for it. Spencer though is too young to determine, though he is fast. But im pretty my Neo would stay at the starting gate or jump over the partition and hide. :D

It's not cruel if they enjoy it. When the guinea pig jumped it was 'popcorning' which is a sign that the guinea pig is happy, or having fun. I know my guinea pigs would've beat all those guineas for a slice of apple. Man they loved apples.

I wouldn't say this was cruel...they're just having them run down a box for all of 5 seconds. Granted, the owners were handling them a bit roughly at the start, but how else do you hold two squirming guinea pigs without dropping both?

As for people claiming the jumping guinea pig is scared out of its mind...wrong. That jumping is known as 'popcorning', and is an extra burst of energy - a sign of joy. Guineas only do it when they're really, REALLY happy. So he can't be that frightened.

well yeh thats true,I found out the hard way,I used to live in spain.My guinea pigs lived out doors,It got very very hot.Later on that morning i found my guinea like jelly,She couldn't move but was still alive,She was dehydrated and later on that day died of a heartattack,I have made a video especially for her,Please take the time to look at it.I'm still only getting over hear death :(

the animals were fully enclosed in a what looked like a wooded 4 line race box of some sort.

they would come to no harm and i imagine that after the race is over those lil piggys get spoiled rotten ....as this was a big event they woulda had the money to spoil a lil guinea piggy's
