The Romanov's really didn't deserve to die the way they did, especially not the children. They didn't do anything wrong. The people who were heartless enough to do it to them were the ones who deserved to be treated that way.
@cannoir Si ! Si ! Comparé à toi qui dois avoir un charisme de petit suisse oublié dans un frigo !!!! Oui ! Oui ! Il a vraiment un regard chaud et profond, je maintiens....
@icewomen881 I am agree with you, specially because i need to go out from my beautiful Venezuela 7 years ago to be safe, communism don't bring any progress to a country, the opposite bring poverty, misery, corruption, depravity, and the worst of all ignorance. I pray always to this misery finish soon, so people can have the same opportunity of safety, education, a happiness. =)))
@icewomen881 you are quite right. Communism equals injustice = death = persecution = fear = hunger = misery = families coming apart = executions. Cuba is a good example of it.
The damn bolsheviks who killed the tsar and his family. THe world is so happy that finally communism in Russian is gone. The collapse of Communism is what the Soviet Union paid as recompense for killing the Tsar and his family.
When I see such love & devotion it reminds me that my country,(England),should hang it's head in shame.Or rather, the government at the time, when King George V wanted his Russian cousins to be given sanctuary in Britain but the government 'persuade' him that the nation wouldn't stand for it! They more than likely would have survived had they been allowed to come to Britain. 'persuaded' him that the ation wouldn't stand for it!
I am brought to feeling great frustrations and helplessness for not saving these innocent souls. I only wish that they are not forgotten and that during their time on this earth they lived a wonderful life before the met their destiny. It is such a heart-wrenched tragedy that I hope that will never be repeated. May God Bless them forever and forever.
Achingly beautiful video & music :_( In this day & age when so many have casual relationships or divorces, when "dysfunctional families" seem the norm, ALL people should look to the tragic Romanovs as at least showing REAL family togetherness! "We Need Each Other" said a little statue my mom bought...how tru 4 EVERYONE, past & present! Russia is NOW no democracy...so why not bring back a (Constitutional?) Czarism! There ARE living claimants -- the current one a LADY named HIH Maria! LLTC!
..that he wouldnt get married unless to alexandra, princess of prussia. he kept his promise till the tsar n tsarina (dagmar) gave up. He married to the woman he loved (I personally dont really appreciate alix's influence to nicky though). their children showered with love (unlike the family of george V, treating prince john as a worm in the family, never showed their love to their children). The romanov children freely told their ma about the man they were in love with, menstuation, jokes etc..
Romanov is one of the royal family that I admire for their personal life (besides family of king christian IX of denmark). they are really different from the rest of the royal fmaily especially compared to their oyal fellow in great brittain. Queen mary of teck was really stiff, and no show of loving and tender heart to her children (edward's prvate letter to his peer revelaed that he partially sad when queen mary dead but also releaved that evil is now gone). Nicholas vowed to his parent that
Oh yeah, it was real, Greyjean and a VERY unusual photo to be captured in that era. Royals NEVER made displays of public affection...never mind allowing it to be caught on film. But that was what was so wonderful about Alex and Nicky, they were very different to their peers in almost every aspect when it came to their private lives.
@TageKaliandrino Awwww...that kiss was so precious. Y'know, I thought it was odd when I saw it b/c you're absolutely right - public displays of affection are indeed very rare for the royals. ESPECIALLY in those tight-ass Victorian days lol. But these two are notorious for their ongoing love affair. *sigh - rich and in love :)
@imacceptingbut Dont Romanticize the Czar, he murdered million by sending them to war with germany unprepared, he murdered thousands of peacefull demonstrator in 1905 bloody sunday, where people just wanted to stop starving to death. He managed a corrupt government, and people just did not want an autocratic monarchy ruling them.
@milenad888...Dude, I'm not "romanticizing" the Czar....I commented on a rarely captured public kiss that the royals (even now in 2011) hardly ever allow themselves be caught doing. Its like they all want us to think they don't fart, shit, have sex, eat, belch...kiss...its ridiculous!
So if Nicholas did all of those things you mentioned then I agree he was a douche - - but don't take away from the fact he and the wifey were very obviously in love.
@milenad888 By your definition, every leader that sends troops to war is a murderer. About 100 people died and 300 injured on so called bloody Sunday (not thousands). Even though it was caused by panic and the Czar wasn't there, he made reforms to prevent future incidents like this. Thinking that the people didn't want him, based on bad information, he renounce his throne. 93 yrs later and after the murder of 20 million plus Russians, people still spout off the propaganda of the communists.
To respond to milena a GOod leader does send his troops to defend his country specially from Japan communist. Did it the US did it too, hello soldiers die and the Czar was a good country man he di not renounced they made him by the Red Boshevitz who took him and his all family and them murder him, with his children along. True. Peasants were starving and the lower class was massacred and mistreated but they still are nowadays. Whom would you blame now ??? A Tzar or a King would still be accountable if there was one.Besides they are still well over 8 thousand noble families in Russia that also lost millions and most family members during those awful bloody times.YOU CAN'T KILL IDEAS!!...you fight them with better ones....
@TageKaliandrino You are so right! European Royalty never shows affection or love .It was ( and still is) considered a sign of weakness and low class. In fact most of the Royalty never looked commoners in the eye
because they didn't want any sort of contact with lower classes and were afraid of the Evil Eye ( or enviousness
looks that were considered bad luck and a terrible omen..) I find the music out of place, disrespectful and more appropriate for an American soap opera..Sorry!!! .
The British Royal Family refused to give them refuge, they could have saved them. But they let them die, their own blood.
