idk how it is in other states, but here in kentucky half ton pickups get a 6000 pound license plate rating and 3 quarter tons get a 10000 pound rating. i went to get my license plate for my tundra and sure enough it was a 10000.

You really expect me to believe that. If you did do something like that with a Tundra then it would have to be heavily, heavily modified. Your trailer would have to be a gooseneck for the load and if it isn't, it would be unsafe. A 1/2 ton frame is not designed to handle such stresses.

It might be the best truck but not yet! Still has to prove it self on the job and not on TV. I have two trucks Dodge and Ford 4x4 towing 6000 lbs. of lawncare equipment 6 days a week all season for 11 years and when not towing we are plowing or hauling scrap. I got to test drive the 07 Tundra it was Awesome. The ride was smooth although I was a bit nervous to drive it though. It was a little bit bigger than I was used to lol compared to my Ford Explorer XLS. I am sold I just wish I could afford the Tundra.

The new Tundra is unproven. They are in a very precarious spot right now. All it would take is one major recall and it would kill their sales. Right now people are buying it because of all of the marketing hype that Toyota is good at. If you want to haul a couch or race up and down the road then maybe the Tundra is your truck. If you want to do some serious hauling day after day after day like I do then you need to buy one of the big 3.

You really expect me to believe that. If you did do something like that with a Tundra then it would have to be heavily, heavily modified. Your trailer would have to be a gooseneck for the load and if it isn't, it would be unsafe. A 1/2 ton frame is not designed to handle such stresses.
