so when 55022 was being used was she actually being used for frieght purposes and not for show, apologies i dont know much about the happning of the deltics :D, and if so why is she their :)

Never mind the audio, the video say it all! It's so good to see Deltic power still being in demand for commercial purposes, even if only for a short while.

Everyone involved in keeping the Deltics alive should be proud of this moment!

I saw this Deltic last w/end at the same spot. I was watching a kids football match just to the left of the line, having been a fan of these since the seventies, I could'nt believe it when this passed by !!!

Talk about being in the right place at the right time, a month previous five miles north on the East coast mainline at Longhirst, The Sir Nigel Gresley flew passed whilst I was waiting at the level crossings while out on a bike ride!!

Is this 55022 owned by Alcan does anyone know?
