These two K-12s & Ksubs are great speakers...but how would you compare them to set of EON515 & EON518S or which JBLs coud be compared to K-12 and Ksub???Thanks a lot...
@liptoneron K12 vs. EON515 in my humble opinion...no contest. The K12 sounds better hands down. The sub comparison isn't so clear. They are both good but will provide two different kinds of sound. The 518 certainly goes lower in terms of freq reproduction. Similar SPL with both. I'm a fan of having casters on the subs and the KSubs have them. But sound wise I'm not sure I can really give a preference. I do prefer having tops and subs from the same manufacturer whenever possible.
RIck - I love your video's and great way to teach other DJs. Are you going to be at MBLV? Would love to meet you there. I just bought a pair of K12 tops and they are great. Going to invest in subs next so thinking about K Subs. Wanted to ask you - in regards to the Tilt feature - if you are on a stage like you said and you tilt them so the sound in on the dance floor. What about during dinner time - does it still sound ok or do you have to keep them at regular tilt and not angled?
You would be best off keeping the K12's at 0 degrees the entire night, up until the dancing begins, then take them off to set to tilt. Kind of a pain to make that switch, but that would sound the best when you're up on stage and take no more than 30 seconds. Your guests will definitely hear the difference.
I won't be at MBLV unfortunately. Let me know what you think of the show!
You help me to be a better DJ.. I do different things than you, but to hear professional options like you demonstrate is so helpful. I had never seen the tilt feature before. Thanks for your videos, Rick.
