I do believe that Matt Smith looks too young to be the kind of Doctor that I'd watch. There's nothing wrong with the Doctor getting it on with his Companions (=P), but even so I feel that the Doctor has to look at least slightly mature and experienced - he IS a Time Lord, after all. Tennant pulled that off with his whole 'haunted Doctor' look, although of course it was more fun when he was being 'wacky Doctor'. :3 I'm not saying that Matt Smith isn't a Doctor; just not my type of Doctor.

@Stolanis You may never know for sure until you've given him a shot. Tennant was brilliant! Smith is equally brilliant. He pulls off aged & mature better than most may think. Turning away from the Doctor, the show, & some amazing story telling based on an actor's appearance may be just a tad bit dismissive. @MsSilverMoonGirl I understand what you're saying, and yes, my reasons for not watching Smith are less to do with Smith's acting ability (which I'm sure is quite superb) and more about the fact that I totally [heart] Tennant. His version of the Doctor has a place reserved in my heart for all eternity. If I were gay or bisexual, you can bet I'd make a Gary Stu and insert him into a shipfic with Tennant's Doctor. =P

@Stolanis Ah, I see. So either Tennant is 'your' Doctor and you've yet to let go, which happens to all Whovians at some point, or you're a fan of the actor/his portrayal, and not a fan of the show! I get it now. xD Which a lot of people do that, so that is understandable. I have shows I only watch for a certain actor or actress too and have given up shows if the actor/actress leaves them. Being a fan of an actor is far different than a fan of a show, indeed. Nothing wrong with either, of course!

well, the doctor has been getting progressivly younger looking since Doctor Who was in black and white lol. It just seems to fit.
