Exactly! Malachi 3 could NOT tell the whole nation to put the Tithe into the storehouse, because God said that only Levites put Tithes into the storehouse (Num 18:26). Malachi 3 condemns religious leaders, not the people of Israel!
Gentiles were not given the command to Tithe, and Tithe was FOOD, never money (Lev 27:30-34). And those who received the Tithe were Levites, aliens, orphans, and widows; ie: the poor, who could not provide for themselves (deu 26:12).
It is not logical to be redeemed from the curse of the law and still cursed at the same time, since these verses are opposite of one another. I would have to go with the New Testament since it was written last. Not Malachi 3:8
Do Christians know there were 613 laws total not just tithing?
Sabbath keeping meant to rest from all activity Frid.night till Sat. at sunset, why aren't they teaching to keep that Law.
Adultery was a capital offense and so was not observing the Pass Over.
Jesus said paid in full not 80% and we pay the rest. Learn what that means
Jesus is our Grace period! Teach the kids to give not pay. Jesus already did the paying.
Matthew 23:23 was before the Cross and fulfilled the law, the Old Covenant was stil in effect .

I really liked the sketch. It was creative, funny, and effective. There are lots of lessons we can learn from tithing. It is like God gives us a winning lottery ticket and we are imposed by him asking for a 10% cut. Keep up the good fight. Being a Mormon myself we don't have paid clergy, yet believe strongly in tithing. Keep teaching this true principle of the gospel.
