@luckypapi87 My issues here are twofold: one, it costs more to kill someone than to put the person in life in prison due to appeals and stuff. The appeals and such can't be reduced because that would open the door to more innocents getting executed due to mistakes. Second, serial killers show patterns with their brain chemistry, behavior, etc. Studying them is more useful to society than killing them as the research can be used to catch future killers.

@luckypapi87 My issues here are twofold: one, it costs more to kill someone than to put the person in life in prison due to appeals and stuff. The appeals and such can't be reduced because that would open the door to more innocents getting executed due to mistakes. Second, serial killers show patterns with their brain chemistry, behavior, etc. Studying them is more useful to society than killing them as the research can be used to catch future killers.

Interesting, at 15:01 he says he didn't know what was going on, in another interview, he says he was intentionally pointing his vehicle towards the body so the police could find it, but they didn't notice - It seems to me that these interviews feed his ego, and when participating, he also seems to guide the process in the direction he wants. Namely, that he appears cool, in control, and being the "man", with the answer. Quite black and white thinking

When he was initially arrested for his deeds, he didn't look like the man in the interview. In the mugshots you'd see that he looked just like anyone else. And he basically looks like anyone else in the interview, too. He's got some fat around his jowls, but so does anyone else his age.
And another thing: I hate when people refer to violence proned people who do horrible things as pigs, or as animals. I think it's bad to call people like that by another spieces. It's rude.

@Putz4Ever Sadly, defense lawyers will use any excuse they can for their client. After all, it IS their job even when they know their client is guilty. It is true some people do horrible things when they have been raised in a good family and have suffered no abuse but this is quite rare with serial killers, there is usually always a traumatic experience that manifests into a deep hatred.
