@TheFoxshot well...3DS IS getting Virtual Console for GB, GBC and GBA games...I would think that this is the time for nintendo to get M1+2 and M3 translated and put on there. They put over seas titles on Virtual console for the wii, so I could see it happening on the 3ds.

They are just teasing us again. Nintendo of America gets our hopes up for Earthbound for VC or a new Earthbound game, and they just crush our hopes like a bug and laugh at our misery.

@MysticKeyblader Exactly. I remember reading the 20th aniverssery issue of Nintendo Power when at the end it said something BIG was going to be revieled. They said: "It's Mother 3... HA JOKING!" Next issue came out and my dreams were crushed when I saw Sonic and the Blaclk Knight. I then proceded to have a ragequit and threw the magazine at my computer.

Actually... I don't care if they release Mother 3 or not. The fansubbers did a VERY good job. I'm content with it. The "official" localizers will most likely screw up just like they did with new translation of Chrono Trigger DS. As long as we have devoted fans, we don't have to worry. Heck, I feel like donating some money to fansubbers when I get a job this summer.

well theres the Magypsies who are basically magical tranvestites & there are a lot of violent/death scenes in the game. Mother 3 still should've been released regardless of this though. Even if it got a T rating

I actually speak Japanese, and there is a tad of swearing in the game.

The worst they say is "Ass," but in Japan, swearing isn't as big of a deal as it is in America. The Magypsies have no Gender anyway, but in America, it would be perceived as inappropriate.

If you wanna look at the drag-queen like people call magypsies (they are neither man or woman). As well as other 'events' and scenes in the game might not be suitable for children. But really, lots of kids who play RPG's don't read the dialogue or understand if they do. As for me, I did with Earthbound and there were some things I never understood till now lol

MOTHER 3 however was kinda promoted to grown adults in their ads, so it seems.

That definitely enhanced the game for me; it felt much more mature and sad than Earthbound, which made it great in its own way.

it has perfanity (spell check), and religious stuff. but if nintendo of america did release this, they would have censored it for younger players. the english patch is uncensored for some reason.

NOA, as all companies, is mainly concerned with making money, and since many people are now playing DS games it would be risky to release a GBA game... Of course, they did release a port of Chrono Trigger earlier this year for the DS, so I don't see why they can't sell Mother 3 as a DS port, but I guess Nintendo has their reasons.

No, but only a small fraction of those English speaking people would actually buy a copy of Mother 3 if it was released officially in English five years ago.

How many Nigerians and people in the Philipenes do you think would buy this game anyways, realistically? There are dozens of Mother/Earthbound fans (myself included), but what percentage of the US populations do you think that counts for? Unfortunately, not that much.
