How can you say this? There is a clear side to take in this issue; We must support the Palestinian civilians. The Israeli government and the ruling parties in Palestine (including Hamas) are to blame for this horrible conflict. It seems to me that outsiders pick either Israeli leaders or Hamas in this conflict when these two sides are the ones guilty of this scenario. There is a right side to this: supporting those who have no say in what happens to them or around them.

I've been civil with you. You come back and threaten to kill me. Not cool. Not cool, at all. The use of words like "cold blooded baby killers" is inflammatory and deceptive. Those babies were not intentionally targeted, contrary to the suicide bombings that clearly did target civilians, including babies. I pin the blam entirely on Hamas. They do not have the welfare of their people at heart. They are fighting for some twisted ideology that puts Islam above all others. Read their charter.

Maybe if Israel didnt indiscriminatley butcher civilians then Hamas wouldnt state their mission as being the destruction of Israel. My grandfather was a Yugoslavian partisan and his objective was the destruction of all facism. Over a million butchered serbs gave him that incentive. Same as hamas has been given theirs.

wilson-possibly, if that were the case, but you are completely off base. First of all Israel does not intentionally butcher civilians, but read what you want and believe what you want. As for Hamas, their actions are not in retaliation to Israel. Their charter is based on the Quran, which calls for the "obliteration" of Israel, the killing of Jews, and the spread of Islam to all corners of the world. If you live in Europe, I would be very concerned if Islamofacists aren't contained.

cont'd Israeli "Imperialists" is completely innacurate. Israel gained land, during the 1967 war,.but, it has given some of those lands back in exchange for peace with Jordan and Egypt. When Syria is ready, it too will receive back the Golan Heights, as long as Israel is secure. As for the WB and Gaza, the Israelis have accepted a two state solution, in principle, as long as terror is renounced. So, unless your talking about the whole of Israel, I'd say "imperialist" is an inaccurate depiction.

You are right they are very much against what the fanatical factions think and do, as I am at odds with the more radical, fundamentalists within the Jewish religion and all religions for that matter. Hamas had every opportunity to avoid it all. They've had the opportunity to bring peace and security for their people for years. Mysterey1; your intentions are noble, but entirely unrealistic. Hamas does not recognize the right of Israel to exist. It expects other religions to exist under Islam. It is not interested in peace with Israel, but instead promotes the idea of a single palestininian islamic state. You cannot be neutral under those circumstances. To be neutral would require that both sides want peace equally. That is not the case.

Israel unleashed collective punishment on Gaza. Killing women and children is vile. The IDF didn't identify targets, fearful of casualties, they returned fire in the direction of the perceived threat. Using white phosphorus in crowded areas, including the UN school, is a war crime. Several ambulance drivers were killed, others wounded by small arms fire and arty. The IDF knows that Hamas fights near civilians. This should impel them to close with threats and identify them before opening fire.
